  1. I finally received my Ozempic today. All of the nondiabetics getting it screwed up the supply.
  2. Are there more neighbors' sons than there are neighbors?
  3. Possibly helpful hints for those visiting Palm Springs: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/mistakes-tourists-palm-springs_l_63656290e4b020eb3d6caad4
  4. I was recently prescribed Ozempic, but have been waiting ever since as the non-diabetics all want it. Glipizide has worked wonders with me. I get regular heart checks and have seen no changes since I started it.
  5. The Chinatown New Year's Parade is Saturday and I am wondering if there are any good Chinese restaurants there. Perhaps they are all in Monterey Park.
  6. Knock on wood...I have been to Brazil 6 times without incident. But poverty is worse after the pandemic so maybe more crime.
  7. Those details are not allowed on this site. A quote from Daddy: "Reminder, it is against the rules to post reviews in the message-forum. Discussion of "Extras" is not appropriate."
  8. If this is your massage, I'll have to get to London! I will leave the dog at home!
  9. Somewhere in another thread, @KrisParr recommended using a lady's shaver. I can't recall exactly, but the risk of cutting was lower.
  10. Sunday the 22d is Chinese New Year, this year the Year of the Rabbit. You may have seen the hordes of Chinese people taking trains to the provinces to meet up with family. Family is a big part of a good new year. I have celebrated Chinese New Year for decades as the hubby is Chinese. We try to do a family dinner, but always have a big spread on the day before as it is New Year's Eve. This year the LA Chinatown will be holding a parade and we hope to be there on October 28th in the afternoon. New York parade is January 29th as is Chicago's. Seattle and Vancouver will also have parades.
  11. Cash is king.
  12. The area is already deluged by snowbirds! Heavy traffic, long lines at stores- if you can find a parking spot. Plus, many tourists are bad drivers.
  13. I have never understood the desire to have your cock sucked by someone you can't see.
  14. Earlier this year, the city of Vancouver made a final submission seeking federal exemption to decriminalize simple drug possession. The submission proposed initial possession thresholds of as much as two grams of opioids including heroin and fentanyl, three grams of cocaine, one gram of crack cocaine and 1.5 grams of amphetamines – the drugs most commonly involved in fatal overdoses. The reasoning behind these thresholds is that these amounts are, on average, an amount that can satiate a user for three or more days, which would prevent users from needing to acquire drugs on a daily basis. This means that, if enacted into law, possession of these amounts of drugs would no longer carry criminal charges. The federal government has given Vancouver an exemption from national laws for three years. All of this follows the thought that drug use is a health issue, not a criminal one. The cartels must be thrilled! Or are they?
  15. "In addition to Sands, authorities are searching separately for Hawthorne resident Bob Gregory, a hiker who was reported missing by family on Monday afternoon, according to KABC-TV The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s San Dimas station told the station that the search for Gregory is being conducted in the Crystal Lake area of the San Gabriel Mountains." latimes.com

Yes, in this thread one did. But there are others. Nothing I wrote was disrespectful.

Several posters have spelled porn as pron. Are they just dyslexic or does pron mean something else?
  19. So you can tell @Unicorn to "let it go" but when I say that to you it's harassment? You are playing victim now.
  20. He's 18 and has 4 years of massage experience. The prices are ridiculous.
  21. You are the one who needs to let it go. Why you even started the thread escapes me. You have no desire for a conversation. You just want to argue your point...rather endlessly. You go be you and the rest of us will be us. Life will go on.
  22. I learned something new! Bargara, Queensland Bargara is a coastal town and suburb in the Bundaberg Region, Queensland, Australia. In the 2016 census, the suburb of Bargara had a population of 7,485 people. The town of Bargara lies 384 kilometres north of the state capital Brisbane and just 13 kilometres east of Bundaberg.Wikipedia Postcode(s):4670 Time zone:AEST (UTC+10:00) Location:12.3 km (mi) NE of Kepnock
  23. From Business Insider: Using the word "the" in front of a group is a way of highlighting the group's otherness from the speaker and his or her audience, according to Eastern Michigan University linguist Eric Acton. "There's this distancing effect, like they're over there," Acton told Business Insider. "They're signaling they're not part of it — they're distancing themselves from it." It's the same distancing we see when a man jokingly refers to his spouse as "the wife" instead of "my wife," Acton said. Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont actually used the same wording in this year's Democratic primary when he railed against "the millionaires and billionaires." But there's a key difference — billionaires typically don't face discrimination, Acton said. The same isn't true for Muslims, or women, or any of the other groups Trump name checks. And that's what may be rubbing people the wrong way. "If you're going to use a distancing expression to a group that already has a history of being oppressed and marginalized, then you're really running a risk of coming across as 'othering,'" Acton said. In addition to distancing the speaker from the group in question, pegging a group with the article "the" suggests that members of that group act and think homogeneously, Acton said. It's a sentiment shared by University of Toronto linguist Sali Tagliamonte. "It's drawing a circle around a certain group of people. It's a very straight-jacketing kind of expression," Tagliamonte told Business Insider. "It's a very delineating thing that could make members of that group think they're being pigeonholed." https://www.businessinsider.com/donald-trump-the-blacks-the-gays-2016-10?op=1
  24. I get my books at the library...for free!
  25. I had the opposite experience. We stayed with the tourists and seemed to spend half the day in cabs going to the historic zone. Too many long cab rides in often heavy traffic. The hotels might be older, but you can't beat the location. https://visit-vallarta.com/maps/puerto-vallarta/zona-romantica/
