I just finished Apartment, by Teddy Wayne. Two young men in Columbia's Master of Fine Arts program meet in a class. Billy, the handsome one, works at a bar and sleeps in the bar's basement office. The second guy, an unnamed narrator, benefits from a free rent-controlled apartment and the largesse of his daddy. Soon he is sharing both with cute Billy. What could go wrong? Very nicely written.

With all of the year end kudos being passed around here, here's to jackhammer for creating what must be the greatest thread in the history of Hooville.

Never once did I take a course in how to use a computer. I cannot write a line of programming. I just use my computer to find information, share email, draft documents, store pictures, and socialize both here and on Facebook. I have no music files to speak of. And, I have no idea what Instagram is. Could someone help me on that latter department? What is it, what is it for, and how do you use it? What difference does it make in your life, assuming it makes one? Thanks.

I should never have started this thread! Gas prices immediately went up 8 cents a gallon at my local pump.

glutes could have found that old thread, but my search did not. It was a million pages long but does provide some historical perspective. Anyway, it's a Christmas gift from the Middle east. My local Costco is offering regular at $3.27.9, and I am pleased. Never thought I would say that! It's down a good 40 cents rather quickly.

Treading softly, but carry a big dick. That's my motto. Except that God didn't cooperate on the big dick part. Guidelines will be helpful in the long run as there will be new folks coming along who need to know the limits imposed here. So, since we tend to post mild stuff, let's hope they are not violated. I wouldn't want some federal prosecutor hauling daddy off in handcuffs...well, I wouldn't want him going to jail over someone's post!

Well, for my part, speaking as a poster on this website, I think the members have shown great judgment if choosing what pictures to post. Guidelines are okay, but I do think a good job is being done to date in keeping the pix within reasonable limits.

Jolie will say that she saw Woods have sex with men, according to RadarOnline.com. She says she will describe Tiger's "healthy appetite for arranged sex, threesomes, girls next door [and] girl-girl." Jolie's rep, Teisha Dynell, tells the New York Post that the blonde will spill details about Woods' appetite "for threesomes and girl-on-girl sex parties."
