People get hopeful when news breaks of a promising treatment or a vaccine. But having seen the failure of our leaders, both in Congress and the White House to battle with this pandemic, hope can be hard to find. Why are doctors still facing shortages of protective equipment? Why are we not ready for the surge to come? We have had months to prepare, but all we get is talk.

The news from London is so sad. Johnny and Amber were apparently mismatched! Now Hollywood fears the verdict: https://www.theguardian.com/film/2020/jul/19/hollywood-nervously-awaits-fallout-from-explosive-johnny-depp-trial

Kids today! A Guardian report on the increasing attraction of makeup to young men. They don't want to cover up, they want to show off their facial features. "By publicly declaring that wearing makeup can be an aspect of their daily lives, the young men who populate and follow Instagram and YouTube’s beauty community have become even more subversive than RuPaul’s drag queens. " https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2020/jul/20/beauty-boys-men-makeup-teenagers-cosmetics-industry

There is something about the great outdoors that makes men horny. Well, at least that was my experience.

Being young and gay can still be difficult despite the gains we have made. A survey released Wednesday says that 40% of gay youth have considered suicide in the last year. The survey ended just before the coronavirus explosion, so the effects of the pandemic were not considered. "For young queer individuals, being forced to isolate with unsupportive families might pose a further obstacle. Forty percent of LGBTQ youth reported in the survey that they were unable to receive care due to concerns over parental support. I don't follow. Are you saying you would go for the underage segment? I have heard horrible things about Thai prisons.

If it is the one I get in my YouTube feed, they are very cute. But there are no subtitles and the guys kissing eventually wears down.

You are already kicking yourself for accepting a booking from this guy after his earlier cancellation, so I won't ask about that. I am curious, though, why you use a studio that is 45 minutes from your home?

Have you ever apologized for not following someone's advice?

Doc got quite excited one day. He had a pulmonary background and told me that I had COPD. Gave me sprays and set me up for a lung scan. Three days later my lung problem had cleared completely. No COPD. His response "well, that cleared up fast!) My husband was diagnosed in the ER with some awful, incurable condition. Something in the blood, I think. The only thing he could do was take pills that would help "shit out" the offending cells. After a couple of weeks on the toilet he saw another doctor, a liver specialist, who said their was no way he had that condition and took him off the meds. (There were other conditions that preceded this one, and he didn't have those, so couldn't have the bad diagnosis) Original doc didn't say a word when he was notified. -

I think I am like most people. I apologize when I have not followed serious advice and it turned out to be better than my thinking. I have told doctors when I realized that they were right, but they rarely apologize to me when they are wrong. -
They look like men to me.

I wish. One thing Palm Springs rarely has is cute young guys shirtless.

I vote real! He was just tying his shoes when his butt crack needed some air! I'd sure like to pull them down some more!

She has kindly taken care of an AIDS patient and a cancer patient. What would she do with a COVID patient?

Wouldn't that be interesting?

I'd like to know as well, especially if pics are included. Just don't tell me if they do anything that could get them in trouble! Well, not here in public...

It's a 2016 movie, and I wasn't posting here then...

Thermas is one of my favorite saunas. There's always someone to float my boat.

This gay movie has pretty good star ratings, but I only lasted 23 minutes before giving up.

I signed up for Hulu so I could watch this. I lasted 7 minutes. The vibe is so Pollyanna. Does it get better?

A gay doctor I used to see told me that rimming is God's gift to gay men. A lesbian doc said that if a patient even mentioned rimming, she would send him for parasite tests. A clean butt is essential, but if it is, my tongue is ready. I have never been infected from rimming.

His reaction was different than mine would have been. But then, I have started a lot of threads and seen them go off-track. I am used to it. I don't think Axiom has started as many threads so it's still a shock for him. But thanks for acknowledging the unwarranted comment.

@KinkyNEguy thanks for your post. My guess is that Axiom has been posting about as long as I have. If he only gets riled once a year, that's 30 riles that you could quote. (Okay, might be 31 or 32 for me!) So I think @Axiom2001 has at least a decent track record. I don't remember him joining in when a pissing contest is going on, and I don't remember him seeking attention. The criticism above seems to me to be unwarranted. He was attacked beyond reason. For a medical doctor to "hope" that he posted under chemical substances, or otherwise he wondered how the guy can cope in society was way below the belt. And consider that Unicorn posts billions of pictures over at boytoy.com and Axiom has been one of his biggest fans. Unicorn's comment just didn't sit well with me, even though I have met him and personally like him. None of this is to say that Axiom is perfect. Your contribution gave me more insight. But many of us don't like it when a thread is hijacked. Myself, I have learned to live with it.

No doubt you have heard that line if you had tried to call a big company during the pandemic. I am not so sure that the volume of calls is higher, but the number of employees answering them is lower. Calling now can be a real challenge if you want to speak to a person. Consumer Reports makes it impossible. I was shunted around to so many extensions and never did get a human. Calling my health insurance company resulted in many press "this" and press "that", but I finally did get a person, and she kept me on hold forever. Finally she said she had fixed my problem, but I later learned that she had not. So I had to call all over again and it was sent for review, which did nothing so I have to appeal. Thankfully I can whip off a good legal letter. That's what i did with Consumer Reports and they did what I wanted but insisted on charging me four dollars! Yet so many people cannot put together a succinct legal letter. Those trying for unemployment have been hit with impossible phone situations. I know there is or once was a site called getahuman that told where to call to skip the buttons and go right to the person, but it rarely worked for me and I gave up on it. Anyone here have any ideas? Any success stories?

Oh, nonsense. @Axiom2001 has been posting for decades and has never been one to get into the arguments between posters nor one to seek attention.
