  1. So surprised to hear that. He seemed eager when he started posting here.
  2. AmeriSave does not include the prepaids, making their offer worse. Quicken has lower numbers today than yesterday. I am thinking of going with them.
  3. I don't use these apps, but it's a surprise to learn that the hot guy pursuing you is really a computer bot.
  4. I enjoyed this video. I could easily see more of him, especially his cute smile and twinkly asshole. Is it true that his mother is his agent?
  5. I am now comparing estimates from Quicken Loans, Better.com, and AmeriSave. Quicken is the highest price, better.com has the highest closing costs, leaving AmeriSave as the likely winner. Their closing costs are lower than better.com by almost $8000. It's hard to figure why they are so low. I don't think they include the prepaid interest and the like, but why not? In 2014, AmeriSave was in litigation over fraudulent enticement and bait and switch. Geez.
  6. Saying that it is in imminent danger of permanently closing, popular and historic bar Twin Peaks, known as the Gateway to the Castro, is asking for donations to help it stay open. Even as The Castro becomes less gay, how important is it to keep this historic bar open? https://www.towleroad.com/2020/12/twin-peaks-tavern/ https://www.sfgate.com/politics/article/Twin-Peaks-Tavern-gay-bar-historic-landmark-4208442.php
  7. Thanks for the advice. It does seem as if closing costs are all over the place.
  8. The BNP Paribas tennis tournament set for March has been postponed. At the moment, I wouldn't advise anyone to travel to Southern California. COVID is rampant. March might be better, but it's not looking good. Maybe April will fool us!
  9. I am planning to refinance. So far, I have 3 quotes. The interest rates are about the same, but where I get confused is the different ways that costs are set out. The loan costs often include prepayments that I don't quite understand. Because it is all automated, I am dealing with a computer rather than a person. On my current loan, all closing costs were paid by the lender. I don't see that offered anymore. What I do see are so many choices that they all begin to blur together. Advice, please!
  10. Who says that you have to be an escort to attend the Palm Springs Weekend?
  11. https://www.boytoy.com/topic/32792-important-notice-some-changes/
  12. You have watched a film and it made you a big booster for this killer. Don't watch Psycho!
  13. So if Reno Gold came to next year's Palm Springs Weekend, I would definitely attend. I would also host him at my house. I'd make him so happy that we both might still be in bed when the party begins. Yes, I can see it now...
  14. Who's talking about posting photos? My thread is about total posts, which may include photos. Mentioning that you have some 45000 posts here is not "recognizing you for posting photos." And do you post photos, or just copy ones already posted and make no comment about them? Anyway, if I decide to "recognize" you for something I will think twice after your response to this thread.
  15. I had sinus surgery last month and was not required to have a COVID test.
  16. Did someone recognize you for posting photos? I missed that if it happened.
  17. Our colleague @marylander1940 hit the big 100,000 number this past weekend, and it's quite a milestone. He is definitely devoted to this site and clearly enjoys posting. People like his posts as has more than 200,000 likes! I wonder who is next. I don't have the tallies, but surely management does. @WilliamM is nearing 45,000 posts, but I can't see that anyone else will soon join @marylander1940 in the top category. Remember, we are allowed to post as much as we like. There is no shame in being a prolific poster, plus those who love to post create the extra content that we love to read and follow. So why not emulate them and add to your content level today?
  18. We sure view this differently. How many died from doing Drugs he provided? And you don't have to die to have your life ruined by addiction. I have known of him for a long time, watched the move, read the book and news articles, and even lived in the building where they stored their victim. When I rode the elevators I had to think of which body part was brought down in this elevator!
  19. @jjkrkwood has also been missing lately. At the other site, he posted that he is suspended here, so we at least know he hasn't disappeared. Maybe the Christmas spirit could move @Guy Fawkes and management to shorten jj's suspension. He offers a lot to this site and his often humorous posts are missed by me.
  20. Real Avalon has also not posted in some time.
  21. It has gone off-track several times!
  22. There is no thread for Amazon streaming! I watched 7500 after reading a blurb in today's news that it is good. Joseph Gordon-Leavitt stars in a hijacking drama. It is pretty much crackling with tension, assuming that you can suspend belief, because you realize that the actors are all in a studio. 7500, Reviews (links don't work) If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to be locked in a cockpit while hijackers bang on its door, this movie from Patrick Vollrath delivers. Full review Glenn Kenny The NYTimes But despite the clever setup for this (almost) single-setting B-movie, some half-baked plotting and unfortunate stereotyping keep 7500 grounded. Full review Sandy Schaefer Screen Rant Your chances for enjoying this will depend on giving up a search for depth and just strapping in for a B-movie hell ride. Full review Peter Travers Rolling Stone
  23. 2xist
  24. Worst car ever: 1974 Ford Pinto. Absolute junk.
  25. I think the real tragedy is that a guy died by Alig's hands. Drugs were his nemesis, yet he never gave them up. I find his death a fitting end. So I guess we just disagree.
