So, earlier this year I binge-watched Queer As Folk (US version) and just binge-watched Looking this weekend.

Enjoyed both (like ensemble shows), though I had (relatively minor) issues with some stuff on both shows.

The laws regarding sales and service of alcohol could be really weird. I grew up in New York State. When I was a kid, restaurants couldn't serve alcohol until 1PM on Sunday. If you had been drinking at the bar at a restaurant and you moved to a table, it was against the law for you to carry your own drink, a restaurant employee had to carry it for you. When I lived in Colorado, bars had to close at 12pm on Sunday. The only alcoholic beverage stores could sell on Sunday was 3.2 beer. 18 year olds could drink 3.2 beer, but nothing else. There were actually bars that sold only soft drinks and 3.2 to cater to the 18-21 crowd. The laws were truly wacky.

Come to Wisconsin. Minors can drink if (1) their parent is present and says it’s ok, and (2) the establishment allows it.

I don’t eat a lot of fast food.

But about a year ago, a late night cruise for food in the middle of an overnight revealed nothing open but Burger King.

I had a Whopper, which I hadn’t had in years.

I swear they put crack in them. I crave them now. So about once a month I have a Whopper (preferably with no onions).

One final quibble... in the episode before the finale, any find it odd that the White Walkers just happened to have miles and miles and miles of chain with them? I mean, enough enormous chains to pull a huge fucking dead dragon up from the bottom of a lake? I mean, they walk everywhere. Not like it was in someone's pocket. And in that vein, they don't even swim.... so how did they hook it to the dragon at the bottom of aforementioned lake in the first place?

They don't neee to breathe. Some of them just walked across the lake bottom or dropped in at the dragon's death site to attach the chains.
