Thanks all for your responses; I appreciated the point of views. I wasn’t trying to put the responsibility on the provider; I know I alone am responsible for my own health. BTW the provider responded and was not insulted; we had a great exchange and he was super nice.

I was exchanging emails with a companion and asked if he was vaccinated. Do you all think that is ok? He hasn’t responded but I wonder if he was insulted (he’s based on the southeast of the US. i have elderly relatives with medical condition that don’t allow them to get the vaccine. I visit them often and I am really careful because even though I am vaccinated i can’t risk getting them sick.
