  1. I have a pair of bamboo undershorts.
  2. The thing that was supposed to bad about farmed salmon was the PCBs. But they've found that the concentration of PCBs is about the same in farmed and wild-caught salmon.
  3. It's hard to find. I only know of two stores that have it, and it's always good.
  4. I used to only buy wild-caught but I've been reading that aquaculture methods have changed a lot in the last few years, so I am more open-minded. Also, one of my favorite things to serve company is Scottish Salmon. Whenever I serve Scottish Salmon for dinner, people literally rave. Guess what? It's farmed.
  5. A friend treated me to dinner in the rooftop dining room at the Marines Memorial Club recently. I really enjoyed it. It transported me back to the mid-60s: A menu with nothing but red meat, baked potato, iceberg wedge with blue cheese dressing, passion fruit cheesecake. Very leisurely service. It felt like an episode from Madmen.
  6. I also don't believe in giving unsolicited advice, but sometimes, there's a happy ending when you do.
  7. Wasabi with egg, yes!! Boiled eggs, Wasabi deviled eggs. I love the stuff. I have always tolerated sushi, but was never wild about them, but recently, I have a new attitude about them. Where else can you find combinations of flavors like that combined with the stunning visual presentation?
  8. Restaurants occasionally serve wasabi mayonnaise.
  9. I haven't been there in years. Didn't know it was still there. A real dive with outstanding food.
  10. To some, it is. And the data support that view. Congratulations for not allowing youself to be pressured into doing something you don't want to do.
  11. I love tats. I don't like extremely colorful ones though.

    Beards

I just grew a beard, I'm going to be on stage in a few weeks, and I wanted to have a big bushy beard for the occasion. I've been getting a lot compliments, but probably not from guys that don't like beards- it is sort of an uber-beard.
  13. I suspect that's the way courage is. It doesn't occur to you in the moment that you are being courageous. You just see what needs to be done and you do it, like you did.
  14. Happens to me frequently. But I take a blood-thinning drug which causes me to bleed easily. It doesn't worry me any.

    Beards

    Love bearded men
  16. They're both great, but I think I like Avidar just a little bit more. It would be a hard decision if you had to choose one or the other.
  17. My partner and I have an open relationship, but it's very one-sided. He's uncomfortable having sex with guys he doesn't know, so he rarely has sex outside of our relationship. I find it a big hassle to do so, so I do it less and less. I have a few FBS of fairly long standing and a few favored escorts, but I don't get around much.
  18. I will have to try that.
  19. Most of the beef I eat is grass-finished and organic. I just buy at the grocery store.
  20. I have been wanting to try dry-aged grass-finished beef. Grass-finished beef can be dry and lacking in flavor because it is so lean. Supposedly, dry-aging fixes all that.
  21. You already are. You're wearing your property manager out. I have some experience with this. Relying on a few well-chosen service agencies can really make life a lot easier for you. My father was extremely ill - he had CHF so bad that he could have qualified for a heart transplant and he was on kidney dialysis. I was his caregiver. The social worker at his dialysis unit helped me get hooked up with a few service agencies like meals on wheels. It lightened my load a lot, and he looked forward to seeing the volunteers. I think meals on wheels may actually have saved his life. He wouldn't eat the food that I prepared for him and his weight had dropped to 110#. I got him set up on meals on wheels and he started eating because he wasn't trying to play power games with me. In a matter of months he put on about 25 #.
  22. That may be so. But, for me, it is simplest to take people at face value. If somebody says they're straight, then they're straight. If they say they are bi, they they are bi. If they say they are gay, they're gay.
  23. In general. I'm not, for the most part, interested in romance. There are some straight men who particularly enjoy gay men, and I find them extra interesting.
