If all goes well, I'm hoping to have the item view done by the end of the week. Once I get to that point, it means I should hopefully be able to let ya'll play with an EARLY version of the system. It won't be perfect by any means... but it should give you a better idea about how the review system will work and let me work on any bugs that come up. Anything created in this test version will be deleted... but it will be very helpful to have people contribute some fake items and reviews to help me test later.

For the rate field, I can make a note describing the field as "The price you agreed to at the time of booking". Regarding the concept of "extras"... I have to be careful with those fields. We don't want to get someone in trouble. My thought is to treat those like I plan to do with escorts. Have a special "premium" sections where those questions can be put. (SHORT TERM those fields once available will be available to anyone signed in. LONG TERM... those may be turned into some sort of premium membership item. It's something I'm thinking about in terms of figuring out how to support the site long-term.)

Lots of good ideas here. Things like Home City, Former Names and all of the features I talked about I the escort database also apply here. Those are features of the review application and can apply for ANY category we create. Some thoughts... Should the massage table be noted in the item record (meaning in the record about the person) or down in the review? If the value is going to be the same 90% of the time, it can go into the item record so that it does not have to be noted for every single review. But if it's a coin toss... it's more likely better within the specific session review. Rates... my thought was to put this into the review itself (not the item record). It was going to be a drop down of ranges ( < 100, 100-199, 200-299, 300-399, 400+). If something is a dropdown menu or something with pre-determined field values, that field can be filterable later. So I could say show me providers in Washington DC that is in this price range. Regarding multiple platforms... I need to think on this more. Right now I'm only really easily able to capture one value. Ideally I would need something that optionally lets a user add another value, but does not require it and does not display the box unless clicked. Something like the above would be what I need... but there is not a concept of that in the default form fields today. I would need to figure out how to develop that. This will most likely be in a later phase. Payment methods... an item level question or a review question? Massage equipment... is this meant to be what was used during the session or what the person has available? (This will determine if this ends up being an item question or a review question) Additional services... same as above.

Published by OK Magazine @kimkardashian/Instagram Kim Kardashian busted a move to “Burn” by Usher this weekend! On Saturday, April 22, the Skims founder partied hard at the Usher concert with newly engaged couple, Chris Appleton and Lukas Gage. @kimkardashian/Instagram The Kardashians star uploaded a series of videos to her Instagram Story gushing over how amazing the performance was and showing off her dance moves along with her pals. One of the stories showed the famous R&B singer onstage in a black leather jacket with a bedazzled skeleton on the back as he sang to the audience, to which Kardashian penned, “Seriously one of the best concerts!!!” In another clip, she danced in between her two friends as the three of them sang their hearts out to the camera. At one point during the song “Burn”, Kardashian filmed the trio swaying back and forth as Appleton and Gage share a kiss behind the brunette beauty. The reality TV personality also shared the moment Usher grinded on his mic stand against the floor with the saucy caption, “.” @kimkardashian/Instagram The musician later came up to where Kardashian was sitting to serenade her, then stopped singing and asked her, “What up Kim?” with a smile. To end the night, she posted a video of Usher as he thanked the crowd along, captioning the clip: “Finally made it to see @usher but my girls are mad they aren’t here soooo I just have to come back with them ASAP.” Donald Trump Labels Kim Kardashian ‘Disingenuous’ While Outing Himself As An Ice Spice Fan In New Interview Kim Kardashian Trolled For ‘American Horror Story’ Role: ‘Ruining My Favorite Show’ Kim Kardashian Is ‘Putting Herself Out There’ Again Months After Pete Davidson Split, Says Source: ‘She Is Feeling Good’ @kimkardashian/Instagram As OK! previously reported, Appleton works for the 42-year-old, as well as being one of her closest friends. Kardashian reportedly couldn’t be happier for the beauty expert who got engaged to Gage earlier this month. “People that work for Kim Kardashian don’t dare make a move without first consulting her. Let’s just say if Chris didn’t have Kim’s approval, he wouldn’t be dating Lukas,” an insider said about the pair of lovebirds. “Kim runs her inner circle with an iron fist. Before anyone is allowed into the super exclusive club, they need to receive Kim’s blessing.” “Lucas isn’t just dating Chris — he’s also dating Kim. Never forget that Kim is the boss,” the source added. Never miss a story — sign up for the OK! newsletter to stay up-to-date on the best of what OK! has to offer. It’s gossip too good to wait for! The source also dished that Gage “passed” Kardashian’s tests after he “publicly expressed his love for Chris,” while not saying “a word about Kim, which is exactly as she likes it.” View the full article

Published by Reuters By Byron Kaye (Reuters) -Barry Humphries, the comedian best known for his character Dame Edna Everage who blossomed from an Australian suburban housewife into a self-described gigastar, died on Saturday. He was 89. The Sydney Morning Herald said Humphries died at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney, where he had been treated for various health issues. “He was completely himself until the very end, never losing his brilliant mind, his unique wit and generosity of spirit,” his family said in a statement quoted by Australian media. “His audiences were precious to him, and he never took them for granted. Although he may be best remembered for his work in theatre, he was a painter, author, poet, and a collector and lover of art in all its forms.” Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese paid tribute to Humphries in a tweet, calling him a “great wit, satirist, writer and an absolute one-of-kind”. It was the character of Dame Edna who made Humphries famous. With coiffed lilac hair, oversized diamante glasses and an outlandish wardrobe, the instantly recognisable Edna would joyfully greet audiences with her trademark “Hello Possums!”. Describing her shows as a “monologue interrupted by strangers” and herself as blessed with “the ability to laugh at the misfortune of others”, Edna would warmly skewer celebrities and audience members alike. “Tim, I could talk to you and about you and behind your back for ages,” the character once said in typical fashion as she was wrapping up a conversation with actor and comedian Tim Allen on one of her talkshows. Edna’s life as she told it would often leave stars in hysterics. She taught Mel Gibson drama, Julio Iglesias’ father was her travelling gynaecologist and she spent the coronavirus pandemic hiding out with her new lover, the father of Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, in Texas. Born and raised in Melbourne, John Barry Humphries was the son of a well-to-do builder who persuaded his parents to buy him an assortment of theatrical costumes to play dress up in. Sent to a conservative high school, he was described by a friend as a “spectacular misfit” who would turn his back on school football matches to knit. The creation that would define his career came early: at 21, he was part of a travelling repertory company when he came up with a character of a snobbish, inadvertently offensive housewife. In 1955, he stepped onstage for the first time as “Mrs Norm Everage” from Moonee Ponds, admitting only decades later that she was based on his mother. He developed a host of other Australian caricatures including the repulsive drunk diplomat Les Patterson and the more subtle Sandy Stone, a decrepit rambling senior. PRANKS Humphries was also an actor, painter, author and Dadaist performer of pranks. In one such prank, he would sneak a can of Heinz Russian Salad on a plane, empty it into a passenger sick bag and pretend to vomit into the bag mid-flight before proceeding to eat the contents in front of bewildered passengers and crew. Bored with his home city, Humphries moved to Britain in 1959, part of a wave of creative expatriates including humorist Clive James and artist Brett Whiteley, showcasing the Australian voice: earthy and irreverent but superficially polite. “Edna has this way of doing things, it seems to take the curse off it,” Humphries told Reuters in 1998. “I get no complaints.” Although a household name in Britain and Australia, the U.S. market proved hard to crack despite several attempts. That changed in 2000, when he was 66, and his “Dame Edna: The Royal Tour” on Broadway earned him a Tony award and role in the sitcom “Ally McBeal”. He also voiced the character of Bruce the Shark in “Finding Nemo”, wrote a satirical advice column, as Edna, for Vanity Fair, and curated a cabaret festival where he rejected acts that involved swearing – a decision he said would encourage creativity. For years Humphries struggled with alcoholism that destroyed his first marriage and nearly his life, but he gave up drinking in the early 70s. His numerous honours included being awarded an Order of Australia in 1982, made a Commander of the British Empire in 2007 and featuring on Australian postage stamps. But an outcry over a series of remarks that were widely seen as transphobic helped prompt the Melbourne International Comedy Festival to drop his name from its top award in 2019. Humphries lived what he called a “chequered, dramatic” personal life, marrying four times. He is survived by his wife, the actress Lizzie Spender, and his four children. Published by Reuters KARACHI, Pakistan (Reuters) -Noor Jehan, an elephant in Pakistan’s Karachi Zoo whose illness revived criticisms of the nation’s zoos, died on Saturday despite frantic efforts to treat her, officials said. The critically ill 17-year-old elephant had fallen into a pond this month and been unable to get up without help. “After fighting for 9 days, she succumbed to her critical condition. She spent too long lying on the ground – a life-threatening situation for elephants,” Four Paws, an international animal welfare organisation that had been advising local and international veterinarians on her treatment, said in a statement. Four Paws veterinarian Amir Khalil said it was “heartbreaking that she had to die at only 17 years old, when she could have had many more years”. Noor Jehan was an African elephant, whose average lifespan is 60 to 70 years. In recent years two lions died of asphyxiation in Pakistan after handlers tried to get them out of their den using smoke, and a number of white tiger cubs have died. The director of the Karachi Zoo was removed this month over complaints of negligence. A court in 2020 ordered the closure of the Islamabad Zoo, where the elephant Kaavan was kept. The American celebrity Cher, after years of seeking to free Kaavan, came to Pakistan to see him off on his move to a Cambodian sanctuary. Khalil said Karachi Zoo did not meet international standards and urged that Madhubala, the healthy elephant remaining at the zoo, be relocated to a more species-appropriate place to give her a chance at a better life. Four Paws said Madhubala was mourning the loss of her longtime companion. The widespread criticism faced by authorities in the wake of Noor Jehan’s condition – with images of her helplessly lying on her side – has led to reports in the local media that Karachi Zoo may be shut down permanently. Four Paws said it welcomed this proposal, adding that it could be a turning point for the welfare of wild animals in captivity in Pakistan. Published by Reuters By Nathan Layne CLIVE, Iowa (Reuters) -Donald Trump and other Republican presidential hopefuls called for restricting abortion at an event for evangelicals in Iowa on Saturday, courting the key conservative voting bloc in the state set to hold the party’s first nominating contest in early 2024. At the first major campaign event for the evangelical community, speakers also talked up their opposition to transgender rights and their plans to promote Christian values and school choice. “Every child born and unborn is a sacred gift from God,” said Trump, promising to fight against late-term abortions, although he did not touch on whether he would pursue federal restrictions on the procedure, a step some conservatives want. Also addressing the event were former Vice President Mike Pence, Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, U.S. Senator Tim Scott, venture capitalist Vivek Ramaswamy, and Michigan businessman Perry Johnson. All have said they intend to seek the presidency or are considering a run. Roughly 1,000 people attended the annual presidential forum organized by the Iowa Faith & Freedom Coalition, a conservative nonprofit. Trump was the only speaker who did not attend in person, delivering remarks via a video link. Trump appears to be consolidating his grip on the Republican Party, with national polls showing him expanding his lead over Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, a potential primary rival who did not attend Saturday’s event but will visit the state next month. Iowa is slated to hold the first-in-the-nation Republican caucus in early 2024. Strong evangelical support early on in the nominating process could help give a challenger a chance to strike a blow against Trump. Trump won 76% of the white evangelical vote in 2020, down from 80% in 2016, according to Edison Research exit polls. About one-third of U.S. adults identify as born-again or evangelical Christians, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll in November 2020. Pence, a devout evangelical who may soon launch a presidential bid, was one of several speakers who vowed to curb the availability of transition surgeries and other gender-affirming medical care for transgender youth. Trump said he would issue an executive order “instructing every federal agency to cease the promotion of sex and gender transition at any age.” Pence and other speakers described the promotion of such procedures as part of a radical leftist agenda that went against Christian values, offering a preview of the culture-war themes that are likely to dominate the Republican primary battle. “The battle against radical gender ideology is a battle for religious freedom,” Pence said. Published by Reuters By Kanishka Singh WASHINGTON (Reuters) -Republican U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Kevin McCarthy said on Sunday the House would vote on his spending and debt bill this week, and invited President Joe Biden to discuss the debt ceiling with him. McCarthy floated a plan last week that would pair $4.5 trillion in spending cuts with a $1.5 trillion increase in the $31.4 trillion U.S. debt limit. Biden and the Democratic-controlled Senate are likely to reject the proposal, but McCarthy has called it a basis for negotiations between the two parties in the coming weeks. Failure to raise the debt ceiling would lead to a U.S. default on its financial obligations, shaking the global economy. Financial markets have already shown signs of worry about the standoff, with the cost of insuring exposure to U.S. debt at its highest in a decade and financial analysts raising concerns about the rising risk of default. Republicans hold a narrow majority in the House but McCarthy said he was confident of securing enough votes to pass his bill in the chamber. “I cannot imagine someone in our conference that would want to go along with Biden’s reckless spending,” McCarthy told Fox News in an interview on Sunday. “Like every other household in America – if Washington wants to spend more, it needs to save more somewhere else,” McCarthy added in a tweet on Sunday. “This isn’t controversial – it’s common sense. I invite the President to get serious and join Republicans at the table.” Democratic Senators Amy Klobuchar and Dick Durbin on Sunday also urged negotiations between Biden and McCarthy but said McCarthy’s proposal was more appropriate for budget debates than for the debt ceiling. “The conversation should be underway, but it should be on the budget resolution, and on the appropriations process and entitlement reform, if that’s part of the agenda. That should all be separate from the question of the debt ceiling. Don’t default, avoid default,” Durbin told NBC News. The IPB software itself does not show members that are "on timeout". In Xenforo, timeout was achieved by changing the member's primary group to one that did not have access/permission. IPB does not do that. Instead there is a special flag within the account with that designation. Even if that were not the case, I have operated under the mantra of "praise in public and criticize in private". Showing that someone is banned from the site does not explain why they were banned nor does it effectively stop others from breaking the rules. I also don't see it as a deterrent from stopping others from breaking the rules. When I'm driving down the interstate, I might see a police officer with someone pulled over writing them a ticket. I know speeding is illegal and I know someone was just stopped for it... but as soon as I'm just a little bit further up the road, I'm back to my original speed. People are going to do what they're going to do, regardless of if they know someone else has been caught/punished for the same thing. Until you're caught (and many times not even then), you're actions are not going to change/stop. If you want to do something like that, I would suggest it be done within a private club as that is absolutely possible. Someone could create the club... invite people to it, etc. They could even list it within their signature to help promote it. Within the public forums though... I'm not sure something like that would work. That's somewhat of a fox watching the hen house scenario. It would become one-sided to whichever side actually created the topic. If we were to do something like this (which I'm still not fully sold on yet)... any approved topics would be created by a moderator and be related to the LGBTQ or hiring community. I would also be tempted to turn on Post Approval for that thread, meaning a moderator would have to approve any message before it would be seen. However doing something like that adds to the moderator workload and gets us back into people from BOTH sides saying the moderators are favoring the other side. So I'm again back in the same position of dealing with the issues that caused the PI forum to be removed in the first place. It simply would just have a slightly smaller volume of posts involved.

This is just me, but as the person buying a service... I don't play the "how much am I willing to pay" game. If the service/person can't tell me what they see as their value, I don't see it as my job to figure it out for them. It would be one thing if they had their rates published and I ignored it... but it's entirely different if it's not listed on the ad and I can't get a straight answer when I ask. I'm either going to ignore the request to make an offer or I'm going to intentionally give a low number. I already personally have moved on at this point even if I've proposed that low rate, but if it's accepted hey I'll re-engage. If not, I've already got a couple other messages out. But in either case... that service/person has lost from me.

The last several days for me have been busy between trying to actually make serious progress on the new review site and some stuff with my day job. I'm not necessarily opposed to having a conversation around a topic that directly relates to an important LGBTQ issue that has political implications, but how do we control the thread? Ultimately I would want it to be a gentleman's discussion without it resorting to simple political talking points or name calling, trolling or over generalization to try to paint the other side into a corner. How can we drive that sort of conversation here? Past history tells me by the time we get to page 3, it will be so far off the rails that the topic will simply need to be locked. Since I'm not sure how to contain this from blowing up, let me put this out to the community for ideas.

I could throw oil used under the same category as “type of massage” unless there are other tool type of things. How much do people care about tables or hot stones, etc? If so… what should be asked about them? What options for the questions?

If you simply expect people to make an offer, wouldn’t you just later be mad when you spend your time with lowball offers? I would set my price and as soon as they say too expensive, just move on. Having them make an offer first just sets you up for the lowball offers out the gate as it’s now haggling.
