This is something I’m playing with. We stop over 500 per DAY. I’m trying to get better tools but it is an arms race. We also have to balance this with not blocking or curtailing legitimate new members. Those specific attempts are using ChatGPT to try and make posts semi relevant the reply with links as a way to get around some standard tools that moderate the first post made. (We don’t do that but it’s a common site tactic.)

Published by Global Voices Skopje Pride 2023, held on June 24, 2023. Photo by Global Voices, (CC-BY-3.0). Populist political forces across Europe have been utilizing homophobia and the stigmatization of LGBTQ+ people as a weapon of political influence for the last two decades. Many of these campaigns have mimicked, or were even helped by, the extreme right-wing circles from the US. After 2013, Moscow emerged as a major generator of homophobic narratives that exploited existing endemic intolerance in the Balkans region. A recent analysis entitled “Kremlin speaking: homophobia as geopolitics” by Bulgarian fact-checking pl… Read More View the full article

Published by BANG Showbiz English Dolly Parton worries about being “grounded here for ever” if technology means her career can continue after she's dead. The 77-year-old singer is content with her musical legacy and isn't sure she would want artificial intelligence (AI) software being used to create new songs or recreate her likeness on stage after she has passed away because she doesn't want her soul to stay “on this Earth”. Speaking to reporters in London on Thursday (29.06.23), she quipped: “The only intelligence I have is artificial. Everything I have is artificial.” She then added: “I've left a great body of work behind a… Read More View the full article

Published by Fadeaway World By Fadeaway World Staff Larry Bird and Magic Johnson may have been archrivals since their college days — one that spilled over into the NBA, but it didn't erase the mutual respect they had for each other. One of the instances was when Bird was thoroughly devastated by the news of Magic's HIV diagnosis. It shook the Boston Celtics legend, and in an interview in 2012, he revealed his reaction to the news. “Magic's agent (Lon Rosen) calls me and tells me about the announcement ahead of time. I said, ‘I gotta talk to him right now.' And Lon goes, ‘I don't know. He's going through all this stuff ri… Read More View the full article

The 60-year-old singer admitted he was worried about his late Wham! bandmate after he was arrested several times and even jailed for a month in 2010 for offenses stemming from his cannabis use, but he is reluctant to talk to much about the subject because his friend's estate are “very sensitive” about it, even though George himself was happy to speak openly about his habit. He told Sunday Times Culture magazine: “I was concerned by his cannabis use, to be honest. But it's not a subject that I can go into in great detail, because of … Read More View the full article

While speaking to CNN's Dana Bash on Sunday, Buttigieg was asked about an ad slamming former President Donald Trump's past pledges to protect the rights of LGBT people. “You know, I'm going to choose my words carefully, partly because I'm appearing as secretary, so I can't talk about campaigns,” Buttigieg replied after Bash played a clip of DeSantis' ad. “And I'm going to leave aside the strangeness of trying to prove your manhood by putting up a video t… Read More View the full article

But in Sweden, Spain and France new retirement communities for LGBTQ+ seniors are proving a hit. “Care home staff don't realise that they have LGBTQ+ residents – but based on population estimates we know they do. It's just that residents don't feel comfortable or safe being identified as LGBTQ+”, explains Professor Paul Willis, an expert in social care. Older members of the LGBTQ+ community can “be at higher risk of loneliness, they are more likely to be single and live alone. They are also less likely t… Read More View the full article

Instead, it'll be held in a different city that will be announced next week, she said. The Con of Thrones, which typically draws 3,000 to 4,000 fans of the “Game of T… Read More View the full article
