  1. Published by Reuters By Muvija M LONDON (Reuters) – The Church of England's governing body will deliberate on how priests could carry out blessings for same-sex couples when it gathers in the cathedral city of York for a five-day meeting on Friday. The assembly of bishops, clergy and laity – called the General Synod – is also due to discuss on Saturday how to protect vicars who might choose not to pray over the union of same-sex couples. The CoE, which does not allow same-sex marriages in its 16,000 churches, in January set out proposals to let gay couples have a prayer service after a civil marriage, and apologis… Read More View the full article

  3. Published by GB News Hollywood actor Stanley Tucci has shared his thoughts on actors playing roles that don't match their own sexuality as a fierce ongoing debate continues. The 62-year-old said actors should not be restricted to roles as their job is “to play different people”. Tucci, who starred in The Hunger Games and The Devil Wears Prada, said an actor's role is to play characters: “That's the whole point of it.” The star was asked about his beliefs on whether “straight actors should play gay characters” following his recent role playing Colin Firth's on-screen partner in Supernova. “Obviously, I believe that… Read More View the full article
  4. Published by The Street By Daniel Kline You can't apologize for something that many Americans — maybe most of them — don't consider wrong. If you do, then you simply anger a different group than the one that's currently mad at you without fixing things with the first aggrieved party. That's the impossible position in which Anheuser-Busch (BUD) – Get Free Report finds itself after it tried to grow its customer base via a small social-media promotion with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney involving Bud Light. The company certainly misjudged its core audience, even as its work with Mulvaney was a relatively minor … Read More View the full article

  6. Published by City AM By Matt Hardy Ever thought about watching a 100m race where you knew everyone was using substances to artificially enhance themselves, rather than finding out a couple of years later when a ban is issued? Well the Enhanced Games may be for you. The idea pits competitive sport alongside the world of performance enhancing drugs in an Olympics-style format, claiming to be about pushing the human body further than non-doping athletes could. But there’s no getting away from the topic being such a taboo. Drugs in sport? It’s not for everyone. ‘Like being gay 50 years ago’And Enhanced Games president… Read More View the full article

During a new interview, the former NBA star said he felt that many individuals who identify themselves as such are quick to pontificate others while discussing that subject and more. “They have a playbook that they are only playing by, that they can only see,” Arenas told VladTV. “Nobody else gets to see this playbook but we're being judged by everything that's in this playbook, but we don't know it.” The fa… Read More View the full article
  8. This is something I’m playing with. We stop over 500 per DAY. I’m trying to get better tools but it is an arms race. We also have to balance this with not blocking or curtailing legitimate new members. Those specific attempts are using ChatGPT to try and make posts semi relevant the reply with links as a way to get around some standard tools that moderate the first post made. (We don’t do that but it’s a common site tactic.)

Populist political forces across Europe have been utilizing homophobia and the stigmatization of LGBTQ+ people as a weapon of political influence for the last two decades. Many of these campaigns have mimicked, or were even helped by, the extreme right-wing circles from the US. After 2013, Moscow emerged as a major generator of homophobic narratives that exploited existing endemic intolerance in the Balkans region. One of the instances was when Bird was thoroughly devastated by the news of Magic's HIV diagnosis. It shook the Boston Celtics legend, and in an interview in 2012, he revealed his reaction to the news. “Magic's agent (Lon Rosen) calls me and tells me about the announcement ahead of time.
