I have always tried to respond and answer as much as I can. I feel it helps the renter and the escort .. if what I say can help them make a decision and have a more + experience that helps both . I have also helped when I left neg reviews because is something was off with an escort it would be helpful to know before making contact. 
 
unfortunately, I’d say it’s 50/50 if I get a response back from other clients on RM. it ticks me off because I think .. can’t take 5 mins to help me out. But oh well .. is what it is 

I was recently contacted by no less then 5 guys after leaving a review on RM. First time hiring, so it was a little jarring, but I didn’t mind responding.  One pushed for quite a few details, including the rate, but I just kept my response positive (it was a VERY good experience), and vague.  I didn’t feel comfortable sharing the rate, but again, it was my first time, so not sure if that’s commonly done.

I've been asked once for more details about a review I left. I didn't have the time to reply right away, but eventually did and everyone was happy. And I've had a few good experiences asking reviewers a bit more details about the escort. It's always understood that it's only if they have the time. Some were more forthcoming than others, while some never replied, which I totally respect.
Replying with "don't waste my time" seems excessively hostile. I mean... who do they think reviews are for?

Newish habit of asking those who have been with an escort to share a little of their experience.  Most always I get decent insights outside of the boilerplate.  Not this time lol

I did a few Zoom sessions with him last Spring while he was staying at the Jersey Shore. He’s very low key. But his pics are accurate. We agreed to have him fly out to the West Coast, but he got sick on the plane before it departed. I got conflicting stories from him and the airline. American fully refunded me, though. After that, I discontinued contact. If he lived close by, I’d consider a session with him.

I understand your viewpoint but my income is higher than a few years back, my stock portfolio is valued more highly and my inflation-proofed bonds are more valuable too. Would it be reasonable for me to expect the price of personal services to be unchanged?
I hired regularly several years ago and rates quoted to me were sometimes higher, sometimes much lower than 300. I didn’t fixate on the rate but rather on my lust for the person and whether my desires would be met.
 
I often played with ‘amateurs’ such as guys from the gym and guys I met online who needed some help. I still have fond memories of a young muscleboy 21 who asked to come over to me. We played for a long afternoon; afterwards he told me how he loved being submissive to an older top, and he only asked me for $50. 
In my direct experience, the rate bears little correlation to the quality of the encounter.

live in south florida, visit nyc and dc and chicago often ... know what you're willing to spend and walk away if youre feeling pressured ... but dont try to disparage the provider

$300 has been the going rate for the DC metro area as well as some of the areas I frequent the most (ATL, FTL, NYC)  for the last few years from what I've seen.
I just had the conversation with someone yesterday with how I remember filling up on gas for well under a buck a gallon.

In principle, I would not be opposed to paying an "appointment confirmation fee" but, yeah, it's the logistics that introduce all kinds of problems: non-anonymous payment mechanisms; inconsistency as to whether the deposit is part of the appointment fee or on top of it; the actual amount of the deposit; no mechanism for when the provider does the ghosting... I will say that I have considered such a fee when the gent adds a caveat like "for first-time clients" because that seems both reasonable and responsible (and like it's not a hustle). But even then it's the anonymity of the payment mechanism that remains my primary sticking point.
And can you imagine how many fakers would glom onto "advance deposits" as their primary grift were they to become the norm?

I honestly don't understand how a service provider can insult a client and expect that behaviour to not have an impact on his business. Once it's on a screen, it can be all over the internet. The client is right at telling him he must get over himself because he has a greater than life ego. That or he has a very low IQ.

Nope - it’s not for me. He has the right to run his business the way he wants. I have the right not to participate. 😬

When Jack Dixon was in LA he was asking for a $50 deposit for new clients, I didn't love the idea, but I paid it. When the timing didn't work out he promptly returned it with an apology. This Rose guy sounds like a jerk though.
