  1. NICE-NUDE-MODERN-OIL-PAINTING-NUDE-MAN-AND-HORSE.jpg

That's Daniel Radcliffe in a promo for the play Equus which he performed in London and on Broadway when he was only 17. He was excellent. I went with a non-gay friend and noticed that half the audience seemed to be middle-aged gay men who came to see Harry Potter naked, to which he said: "And you're here for the same reason!"

  2. “I assumed I dropped them off at day care before I went to work,” Rodriguez told cops at the scene, according to the criminal complaint against him.

    “I blanked out!” he cried.

I was the attorney for Child Protective Services for many years and prosecuted all kinds of bad parents. This one does not meet the "smell" test. One doesn't just forget about babies (or pets) in the back seat. My gut feeling is that drugs were involved and I hope NYPD did a drug test when he was arrested. Sorry, his statements just don't ring true. I've heard it too many times, and the back story almost always involved drugs.

  3. A friend in Palm Springs overheard a dinner conversation between two realtors at a restaurant. One was a seasoned agent and the other a much younger and very handsome man, both gay. The younger one asked the older guy “at what point do I have sex with the client to close the deal?”

I'm going to be looking for property in Palm Springs. Do you have the name of the younger guy? LOL!

  4. I was fortunate enough to be invited to the Opening Night by one of the attorneys involved in the production. It was fantastic, and some of the costumes worn by the male audience members outshone the Bob Mackie creations onstage. There were three Cher sightings. As we approached the theater she was giving an interview outside. Then, when the audience was finally seated (about 20 minutes late) and the curtain was about to go up Cher was escorted to her seat to thunderous applause. Finally, after the curtain calls, Stephanie J. Block brought the creative team onstage (including Bob Mackie.) Finally she introduced Cher herself and they sang a duet (obviously rehearsed) of "If I Could Turn Back Time".

The show was quite nice for a jukebox musical and the three Chers worked well together, although Block had the largest role and the best voice. She nailed Cher. The costumes were wonderful. The book is more than little thin and I knew more about Cher from Wikipedia and VH1's "Behind the Music" than from the show. But her point was made, that she had to take control of her own life and succeeded when everyone thought she would fail.

I was invited to the afterparty but didn't go as I had to work the next day and had a two hour commute home.

All in all, the show is a crowd pleaser and should have a decent run.

  5. New York is more lonely today -- Dane Scott is on his way back to Palm Springs. For all of us who enjoyed his delightful company and his extraordinary skills during his visit, we can only muse and reminisce until he returns. For those who haven't yet had the opportunity please do not deprive yourselves for one minute longer of spending time with this superlative gentleman and escort.

  6. I don't think "athletic wear" is necessary for the gym.....I just wear an old, fairly loose cotton t-shirt (usually dark colored because of sweating) and some junky cargo shorts......I usually don't wear underwear at all (anywhere) because, in the warm climate where I live, it's just quicker, easier, cooler, and more comfortable......

I have to disagree. I have about ten gym outfits and they are all color coordinated: shirt, shorts, underwear and jock strap, and gym shoes. I wear them in rotation and even though I attend a straight gym people comment on my outfits, and do complain if my sneakers don't match. The well-groomed homosexual must make a fashion statement at the gym.

On a more serious note, I do not recommend freeballing it. Perfect way to wind up with a hernia. Most guys I know of whatever sexual orientation wear some form of boxer briefs under their shorts or sweats. I do wear a jock underneath as well because I have small hernias and don't want to make them worse.

  7. When I got my first job after law school I was living at home with my father as my mother had recently died. He didn't want to take any money from me as I had student loans to repay. I was doing all the housekeeping so we worked out a system: he gave me $15 per week towards groceries and I paid for the rest. Even after he remarried the following year and moved out, my responsibilities were to pay the property taxes, utilities and minor upkeep expenses; he still paid for major repairs. Ultimately I did major renovations, the cost of which he deducted from the price when I ultimately bought the house from him. The final price: two-thirds of the appraised value, paid to my two brothers as their inheritance. Worked out well for everybody.

  8. An interesting take on the Odyssey is the book "An Odyssey: A Father, A Son, and an Epic" by Daniel Mendelssohn. Published in 2017 it is an account of the author, a Classics professor at Bard, teaching a seminar on the Odyssey which included his elderly father as a student, and their Odyssey of coming to terms with their relationship including the son-author being gay. On many top enlists for 2017 and entertaining reading about both Odysseys.

  9. Oh yeah. I would have pushed him out of bed and had him sleep on the couch if he was going to treat me that way. How about waking me and suggesting that he sleep on the couch. Being the gentleman I would have suggested I be the one. I'm sorry the way he handled it (if I got the gist right) was hardly gentlemanly.

He did not tell to sleep on the sofa; he just woke me up. In fact, he was prepared to sleep on the sofa but I was in a phase of my life where I usually slept on the sofa so I moved. In the morning he expressed surprise that I had not come back to the bed. There was NO difficulty and we have slept together many times since them without difficulty.

  10. On an overnight several years ago with my favorite escort I was snoring so badly he pushed me out of bed. The hotel room had a sofa so I slept on that. I had all kinds of health problems at the time and probably had sleep apnea as well. I solved the problem by losing a lot of weight and becoming fit and healthy. No complaints since, and we have slept together many times.

  11. Finding escorts? No problem. My car sits at the Ronkonkoma LIRR station as I go to NYC for pleasure.

Oh, you want to find escorts on Long Island? Again, no problem. I pay for the escort to take the LIRR from Manhattan to Ronkonkoma and I pick them up there. Sometimes on their way to or from Fire Island.

Seriously, I am stymied about finding local reliable escorts. If anyone has a solution let me know.

  12. The "best" hotel I ever stayed at was the Sofitel Legend the Grand in Amsterdam. Spent a wonderful weekend there in 2015 with Chris Eisenhower. Bi-level suite, winding staircases, beautiful decor and excellent service. And a great traveling companion; we made the most of Amsterdam.

  13. In 2015 I spent several days in Amsterdam at a top hotel with Chris Eisenhower (miss you!) and the room had Toto washlets in the bathrooms. We both loved it, and when I retired a year later I got one for my home bathroom as a present to myself. It cost about $3000 including the unit and installation (I'm sure there are less expensive versions) and I don't regret it for one moment. Maybe it's for people "of a certain age" but I find it makes me feel clean and sanitary.

  14. About four years ago I had a health scare. I had some minor surgery and wasn't hungry so I was eating only soup for a few days. When I went for the post-op I had lost ten pounds. That night I had a salad for dinner and haven't looked back. Once I recovered from the surgery a friend set me up with a trainer at a gym (I had never been in a gym in my life). The end result? I lost 90 pounds in eight months and was able to wean off all medications.

I now workout every day, am careful about my meals, and have never felt better. I eat carefully, with breakfast and lunch being the same every day except for an occasional treat, and dinner is a huge salad with some protein. It probably helps that I love to cook and also have acid reflux which limits choices. I also drink two quarts of water every day to flush my system.

I am convinced that diet is most of the struggle. When I get sloppy I gain weight, although the constant exercise limits the damage. A support system also helps. I lost mine recently, and I'm struggling a little to find a new one, but the health benefits are too important to ignore the risks.

Keep at it, find what works, and persevere. It's worth it.

  15. The founder of Domino's Pizza, Thomas Monaghan, is known as " A champion of the pro-life movement and other Catholic teachings "to combat the nation's 'moral crisis'," Monaghan has spent hundreds of millions of dollars promoting them" according to Wikipedia. I personally attended a conference where a professor from the law school he funded, Ave Maria, did an awful lot of gay bashing. Sorry, I'm not spending my hard earned gay dollars on his pizza.
