I remember my first time at a strip bar, in Portland , Oregon. They told me the "no touching", "keep your hands by your side" rule.  I think it is wise to do that for first timers with no clue what to do... It's similar to giving that same rule to a kid in a candy shop 🍭.  Eventually, after you've had fun at enough of them and know how to behave and interact with the dancers you can act more naturally and let the touching progress with each song, if the dancer is agreeable.

Let's take a generic mens spa. You get a great massage, and then the masseur works hard so you will leave happy. In his experience, that hard work is rarely rewarded with a good tip. People can be cheap. So he inquires what they want and tries to get them to tip appropriately. I see nothing wrong with that. Independent masseurs should ask the price they wish to be paid for the services rendered. If the services exceed the advertised labor, a “tip” may very well be warranted. If not, the advertised fee is sufficient. This approach has always worked very well for me.
