  1. Back around labor day I saw some pictures on social media of Jeff Goldbrum enjoying the festivities at Southern Decadence in New Orleans. This morning I'm seeing news of his new show, "The World According to Jeff Goldbrum", on Disney+. Now it makes sense. He was there probably filming for his new show. Anyone else see this or have any information to add?

  2. I would agree that Swinging Richards is not what it use to be but its been busy on my latest visits (on weekends) and I've had a great time. There may not be as many dancers as before but I always find enough attractive dancers to take all my money. Some of the dancers get on stage and just stand and look bored. A real standout is Tyson. His stage set and dancing is a work of art and so erotic. His show is worth the admission alone. Go see him. Another guy that interested me was Archer. He is a super nice guy and provided a very good lap dance but did not get a VIP room with him. Anyone have any experience with Archer in a VIP room and meeting outside the club?

  3. Was wondering what happened to Matt. I remember when he started dancing at Richards at the original location on Northside Drive just off I-75. They moved to the current location in 1999 to what was previously the Diamond Club but was much larger and they switched locations due to the growth in popularity of the Male dancers pretty much the only one in the area, but there were multiple bars/clubs with Female dancers. I think the owner at the time owned a few clubs.

I can't remember when Matt became manager, then left and returned at least once or twice between ATL and MIA/FLL. I think he even managed another club in Atlanta between stints at Richards in Atlanta.

When did this Johnson's Club open in Ft Lauderdale?

Wow Dave. You've been around as long as I have. I remember Matt dancing at the original location of SR as well.

  4. The above posters are correct: dancers are never fully nude at the Tin Room. A number of them do flaunt hard-ons or semi's in their speedo type bikini underwear, which can, in some cases, be enticing! The last few times I've been there (not on a weekend, though) the dancers have not been that engaging with the patrons.

In the past, I have met a few gems at Tin Room but they were usually guys visiting Dallas from other states or other countries, and they nearly always approached me by introducing themselves and asking my name before asking if I'd like to "see more" in a private lap dance or three!

Never met a guy there I'd be interested in hiring, though. I'd suggest checking it out on a weekend, though. I'm sure there might be more (and hotter!) guys on display on Friday or Saturday nights!

    TruHart1

Are the lap dances truly private? Is it in a booth with a curtain or door?

  5. I wonder if this lawsuit will effect other strip clubs practices of not paying strippers and requiring a tip out from the dancer.

I heard about this lawsuit last week from a dancer that I ran into at another bar. He said the dancers are no longer required to tip out but it wasn't necessarily a good think cause lap dance number are down. The reason is because a customer is no longer allowed to pay the dancer in cash for the lap dance. The customer is now required to buy "dick bucks" in advance and must buy a minimum of $40. I have not been to confirm the new procedures. Anybody been recently that confirm the "dick bucks" requirement?

  6. Thanks for the amazing info. That semi-rural country boy sounds like Ashton. I’ll consider the vip private room if it really is 2-for-1. That would be great.

It's $20 entrance fee to get into the VIP area/lounge on Saturdays. It may still be $10 on other nights. The VIP private room 2-for-1 only applies to the room rental fee. It is $85 for 15 minutes so you will get 30 minutes. The dancer fee is not 2-for-1 and is the normal fee. Normally the dancer fee is $100 for 15 minutes. However you would pay the normal fee of $200 for the 30 minutes. The dancer fee is paid to the door keeper up front when paying the room rental so I'm not sure if it can be negotiated with the dancer. That may be a minimum amount and could negotiate more with the dancer if you wanted something specific?

  7. Was at Swinging Richard's last Thursday evening from about 11 pm to 12:0o am. Since I had just had an encounter at my hotel with a very hot escort, I was only there for relaxation and sightseeing. I used Uber for the first time and, I have to admit, was pleasantly surprised that I only paid a little over $5 (from Buckhead) to SR though I did car-share with another customer. The pickup by Uber was swift and the driver was very professional. The dancers were hot but not very interactive - was not impressed . There were very few customers and most of the dancers were sitting around on their butts talking to each other. As I was walking to the bar for a drink, one of the dancers, who was sitting next to another dancer, asked me if I had herpes (I had cut myself shaving and had a very small Band-Aid over my upper lip). He giggled but his friend looked embarrassed. I left after that.

Perfect description of the dancers there these days.

  8. Went to Swinging Richards this past Saturday. Living in Atlanta I've been an off and on regular for years. Its always been an expensive night but their price increases make it hard to be a regular anymore. I'll still go but only occasionally. Used to be $10 at the front door and now entrance is $20. Entrance into the VIP lounge for a lap dace was $10 now its $15. Entrance to a VIP room for a private dance was $40 for 15 minutes + $100 to dancer now is $85 for the room + $100 to dancer. A domestic beer went from $5.75 to $6.75.

The line up was okay but not worth the price increases. This place has been on the decline over the past few years and since Matt no longer is the manager.

  9. I'm headed to Toronto next weekend. I've read that Remington's was closing and then another said that it did not close. Any update if it's closed by now or not? Also plan to visit Flash. Any info on good dancers or dancers to avoid?

  10. Private dances are $20 each and each dancer determines the length of the dance. Some dancers will provide a long lap dance while others will leave you shaking your head and asking "Is that all there is?" There is a corner area of the bar dedicated to lap dances and is separated from the main bar area with a privacy curtain. You may be the only one getting a dance or there may be several others getting a dance at the same time. Just depends. The lap dance area has built-in benches along the walls for bar patrons to get their dances.

The Friday happy hour crowd is fun and usually has decent dancers. Look for Charlie, Joel and Jaime to give you great dances. FYI.....drink prices are reasonable ranging from domestic bottle beer at $3.50 during happy hour to $4.25 during non-happy hour. I'm not a big drinker but I believe call well drinks are around $5.00. Of course, premium call drinks are higher.

If you are going to be in Dallas on a Tuesday evening I'd recommend going to BJs on Fitzhugh Ave. They are known for their Tuesday night crowds and there will be a ton of dancers for your enjoyment. BJs also has private rooms for lap dances. Again, $20 per dance. Additionally, the following bars have dancers but I'm not an expert on them:

Marty's on Maple Ave. (same owners as the Tin Room)

The Brick on Wycliffe Ave (popular on Fridays-Happy hour)

Zippers on Fitzhugh Ave (same owners as the Tin Room)

Throckmorton Mining Company (TMC) on Cedar Springs Rd.

From what I've observed over the years is that dancers here in Dallas are all over the board. Finding a good one is like finding that proverbial needle in a haystack. In addition to the ones I mentioned above there is a dancer at the Brick by the name of James. Great guy. And as nice as the day is long. I think he's usually there on Fridays for Happy hour.

One final note...I believe the Brick transitions into an African American bar late on Fridays and Saturdays. By late I mean around 10 or 11 pm. Many times they have shows on weekend nights. Hard to get a grip on what clientele they're serving. It's all over the board. But on Friday during happy hour the Brick delivers on dancers.

OK... This has turned into a novelette and I'll end here. Hope this is of some assistance to you. Maybe other Dallas forum members can reaffirm or offer their own perspective on dancers bars here. Enjoy Dallas!

    Thanks for the informative info!

  11. What's lap dances there like? Private or semi-privates? In curtained booths or in a corner of the open room? Traveling to Dallas for business and thinking of stopping in. Any other suggestions with dancers in Dallas?
