The one thing on symbolism regarding the deaths of Lochy, Rick and Chelsea. When Lochy "died" they panned to a lily pad with many water droplets on it, the droplets did not merge into the bigger pond of water. When Rick and Chelsea were shot and eventually fell into the pond of water their "water" merged with the bigger concept of water as explained by the Monk. Overall, I was hoping other characters dies, but looks like the Russians live for another day, partying with the girlfriends.

The Ups and Downs of Airlines and Air Travel
Njguy2 replied to mike carey's topic in The Travel Desk
Had the fun of flying into Kai TaK Airport once. When my ex (Qantas Purser) found out I was transiting thru Hong Kong he told me to get a window seat and be prepared for a fun ride and enjoy the views - he was totally on point. On my next transit through Hong Kong it was via the new airport and anti-climactic. -
Tried to keep an open mind as I watched it - but at times I thought - where is this going? Definitely glad I didn't pay to see this in a theater. Ayahuasca seemed to be akin to LSD. Daniel Craig's character search for something beyond heroin found it in the jungle plant. William Burroughs definitely had a different life experience to be able to write this.

The conversation that Jason Isaacs character's had with Parker Posey's character after his talk with the monk was interesting. Her statement to the effect that if she didn't have money she wouldn't want to live. "I just don't think, at this age, that I'm meant to live an uncomfortable life". Isaacs then started to reflect on that given his prior conversation with the monk. Should be interesting to see if this leads to actions on the Isaacs' part.
