Sad but true and getting worse!

Yes, they can't always answer the phone or reply to a text message on time but eventually they'll have free time to do it without engaging in endless texting. I know folks that even during an overnight they go to the bathroom and reply "I'm busy tonight, I'll text you tomorrow". $400 a month in phone bill seems exaggerated with so many plans that we have nowadays. If someone pays that much he should simply talk to friends or google to find a reasonable price. Actually Covid-19 was a good time to enjoy modernity, specially things like zoom, streaming, etc. A flip-phone phone is good but not for Uber, google maps, and other apps about transportation that have improved our lives. Try YouTube and Pluto TV, they're free and plenty of have plenty of free movies.

Boost mobile users pay $35 per month. Some folks don't even have a plan and simply use internet to use their phone only through WhatsApp. Agreed, iPhones/Androids are in our lives to stay, there are many things like Uber that can't be done without them but I still prefer checking my bank accounts and other things in a bigger screen like my laptop.

In this day and age texting rules and many younger guys just can't handle a phone call. Text them first, and suggest talking by phone later, I'm sure some simply would tell you they can't talk for days to come because of roommates, being a public place, etc. but a few will find the time to call you and talk to you like humans used to do.
