Alas I must agree with Public Assistance. I too am older and years ago when I went to a masseur I could pretty much count on if there were interactive possibilities they would happen. A mild chuckle re this thread. Does anyone remember The Body Center on 6th Ave near 14th. I needed to start working out for professional reasons and it was the first gym with steam room, sauna, and a hot tub not to mention a long row of open showers that I had ever been to. Generally speaking, if a masseur takes the meeting another direction from the start, they don't have the skills to give a good massage. Sometimes the best course of action is to "just go with it" and enjoy it for what it is. Seriously, maybe the masseur was so attracted to you he just went for it.

I might be wrong about this but when I came to NYC during the War of 1812, I think there was a law that a masseur had to be licensed to advertise. Getting a license required some degree of training.
