  1. A first post like this always tells the story. Yes, they exist and yes, some of them you'd have easy access to (Mr Number). Others are message boards, like this one, but private.
  2. I'd like to think I've seen enough Judge Judy reruns to defend a landlord in small claims court.
  3. At some point, you have to stop giving two fucks about what other people think. While I'm not a person who wants to pull focus, I've shared many levels of PDA with clients. If it feels natural and he's comfortable with it, I'm all good. I have the self confidence and well-earned maturity to not care about what people around me 'must be thinking.' Without any snark or sarcasm in saying this, I truly hope you can get to that point someday.
  4. Because they fired most of the cast before coming to broadway. A lot of hurt egos and salary negotiations.
  5. It's not that they haven't tried. It's just that it probably hasn't sold as well. Guys don't watch porn to see themselves. They watch it to watch the unattainable. The fantasy. That's what porn is: A highly unrealistic, hyper-visual, fantasy-driven medium. This sort of marginalized porn has usually been shoehorned into a fetish category and as much as I'd like to see society evolve, it's not realistic to think it's going to change anytime soon. The gay community is mega progressive in regards to our rights, but we heavily inner-discriminate if someone doesn't fit within a classic frame of beauty.
  6. Cupula might not bat an eyelash at bringing back what appears to be another tourist, but they do get squirrely when they think it's a local. I've watched them ask for ID (and keep it until the visitor leaves).
  7. Ah, the infamous production that started in Florida. I really wish Alice Ripley would have stayed with the show to Broadway. Butler was fine, but Ripley's voice and acting were incredible.
  8. Unless an understudy was on, it was probably Lee Wilkof
  9. If it feels natural, you do it. PDA shouldn't be performative. That's just uncomfortable (gay or straight). A good escort can both read the room and his client. I'd feel odd discussing PDA as a bullet point before meeting someone, unless it was the sole reason they were hiring me.
  10. For percale, it's either LL Bean- which gets top reviews from Wirecutter and CR- or Brooklinen. I have sets from both, they've lasted years and have stood up handily to silicone/oil-based lube, hot water and bleach cycles. No loose threading, no thinning, still as crisp as when I bought them. https://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/113446?page=pima-cotton-percale-sheet-set https://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/76545?page=sunwashed-percale-sheet-set-print&bc=31-131-1156&feat=1156-GN3&csp=f&gnrefine=1*SHT_TYP*Percale&pos=9 https://www.brooklinen.com/collections/classic-percale-sheets I don't tend to spend heavy on the sheeting as much as I spend on the mattress underneath.
  11. I love discussing sheets and thread count. I'm a weirdo. Frette is good, but it's nowhere near worth what they charge. For much less money, you can get a long-staple cotton sheet set that feels amazing and lasts a long, long time. Sferra Giza 45 are one example. At home, I only use white percale-blend sheets. They sleep cooler, are crisp and can be bleached. My personal favorite brands are Brooklinen and LL Bean. The thread count thing is a little wishy-washy, as most brands who say they're 1000+ aren't actually, but just doubling/splitting their threads and getting to the number that way. A lot of times, the extreme high thread ends up feeling worse and wearing much more quickly.
  12. Agreed. It's why I protected myself from a blanket statement with the adjective 'probably' Other than that, realistically, any system is going to be gamed. That's just the nature of systems. Ideally, Mr Number could work on some front end protocols to shore-up the app, but that likely depends on how many complaints they get and if that chops into their bottom line.
  13. Those here who are talking about it the most seem to be the ones who have had multiple issues with the platform. Mom's logic: If you're not doing anything wrong, you probably don't have anything to worry about. Some clients here keep talking about it because this app is trying to level the playing field a bit... And that might have some of them a little worried.
  14. This. 100%. If you take solid care of yourself, no one will know what your actual age is. A lot of escorts live hard and it shows, which has always amazed me considering this is (initially) a looks-based business. Smoking, sunshine and steroids always catch up with people in the end and it's usually not pretty. However, shaving 10+ years off is no bueno.
  15. If you know you've done nothing wrong, then it's easy to laugh off a 'review' on Mr Number. However, there's always those who make me think back to reading Hamlet: The lady doth protest too much, methinks
  16. To me, 'anything goes' usually means bareback fucking is cool, but I'd talk beforehand to the guy if you want to put your load in him. It's all about communication.
  17. I completely agree that RC has taken this first year to work out the problems... And from the latest reviews, they've listened and shaped things up. Their second ship, Ilma, is coming online in early 2024. That will hopefully expand their itens a bit and allow for some truly interesting ports.
  18. Read a lot reviews on Ponant before plunking down money. I've cruised with them and the price did not correlate to the experience. If you're wanting that yacht-like experience, look into the relatively new Ritz-Carlton ships. I've done one with a second booked early next year and think they easily beat Ponant. Aman is also readying a mega yacht to compete with RC, but I'm not sure of their timeline.
  19. Lower Manhattan, more specifically FiDi. It's still a bit of a no man's land after 5pm and that makes for quieter streets and less pedestrian traffic at night. I'd.recommend other hotels on the UWS or around the Broadway/upper 60s, but they won't be price sensitive. You pay for that kind of quiet in a good hotel.
  20. Saw this in previews, but also saw it a decade ago at The Public. The theater transformation is impressive. The show was nicely done, even if I wasn't sold on the actress's portrayal of Imelda Marcos. I didn't feel the show ended with the audience clearly understanding how truly fucking horrible she is. When it was at The Public, Ruthie Ann Miles did a better job of acting the role, making Marcos a true monster by that last song.
  21. That's because Shucked started out at Dallas Theater Center as Hee-Haw The Musical. It didn't run well and they took it back to the drawing board, but kept entirely too much of the yuk-yuk humor. The best part of the show is Newell's one big nunber. And they got a Tony for it. The rest I wouldn't wish to make my worst enemy sit through.
  22. This post shows your good character. You're setting an example for being incorrect and simply owning it. That's what an adult does.
  23. Stef Lacoste. Vegasboy Dave Bobby Thompson. Bryan Young. Aaron Lawrence. These are the names I remember as guys I learned from when getting into the business.
  24. He was a good kid who sadly died entirely too young.
  25. When they removed phosphates from laundry/dishwashing detergents, they hurt what was a lot of the cleaning power of the products. Thankfully, Amazon sells phosphate in bulk and you can just add a tablespoon to every load. It's huge how much of a difference it makes in the look, feel and smell of clean laundry/dishes. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B091579GHX?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
