The technology the show uses is absolutely the most impressive thing I've seen. I went into the show thinking it was going to be kitschy and silly, but I was way wrong. I kept having to remind myself I wasn't watching real people put on a live concert. Everything just clicked perfectly and as an audience member, you eventually suspend reality and act as if you're watching ABBA live (and in their prime). Having seen it twice now, I'd go back a third time for sure, especially as they regularly add and subtract songs to keep things fresh. Rumor has it that Vegas is the next spot to use this tech.

Going off topic for a sec, I'm not so sure, but I do think there's a subset of young guys who know they've got the goods to show off. But that's a very, very small percentage of younger guys. Most are antisocial, not massively confident and tend to skip the locker room altogether.

Preventing hep c, no. But it's much more difficult to get, as it's a blood-based transmission. And in the very small chance you do, hep C is 90%+ curable with treatment. As always, the vaccine for A/B is your friend and lasts for 20+ years if you get the entire 3-4 shot series.

The hotels there don't have an issue with visitors. At worst, they'll ask them to provide identification before they go up to your room. A hostel seems like a bad idea. I've stayed at the Park Hyatt and Vinpearl Landmark in HCMC, both were lifestyle-friendly.

Late this month, I'll be back at Pineapple Point for several days and can highly recommend it as a day pass option. It's cruisy, yeah, but it's also beautiful and relaxing. The guys who run it are super friendly. Very well put together property. At night, it's a lot more openly sexual. Daytime feels more low-key. The open bar at 5pm seems to help kick things off in the right direction. Haven't been to Club FL, but planning on heading there on this trip.

The whole show felt... Off. Bad sound mix. Awful camerawork. Why they shot everything so up-close was a strange decision. It felt uncomfortable. What we're seeing with musicals now is incredibly weak source material with good direction/production design. That's no bueno. We need to get back to people writing SOLID MUSIC and then develop the concept from there. Otherwise, what we're watching is just glorified theme park bullshit. If everything opens as planned, next year's TONY awards should be a barnburner.
