  1. I get a lot of the same musicality from Avenue Q as I do from Bat Boy. I'd also say that Spelling Bee is a bit similar as well.
  2. Re: Ashman Michael Riedel's book Razzle Dazzle has a really interesting chapter on Ashman and his final-days involvement with Disney's Beauty and The Beast. Some touching and relevant stories to this thread. https://www.amazon.com/Razzle-Dazzle-Broadway-Michael-Riedel/dp/1451672179
  3. Bat Boy is another one of my favorite musicals
  4. The old topic was about being blocked by someone. I riffed on that. The line is clear. Lighten up
  5. I was blocked by Donald Trump and Lisa Vanderpump on Twitter. I'm quite proud of that. I this this thread should be turned into a 'Who Blocked You Best on Social Media'
  6. I've had my HPV vax for awhile and agree with what was said above, just get the damn thing. After seeing what male friends have gone through when it flares up, it's worth the time and trouble to protect yourself.
  7. She's crazy as cat shit. Can you blame them?
  8. If we're talking derogatory, racially stereotypical terms, yeah, I'd say it is.
  9. This feels like a branch-off discussion of a previous thread mincing the term 'thug' 'Redneck' is the same thing, but for a white guy. I'll wait for the outrage.
  10. Talk about stealing someone's thunder... This CA production just swooped in and took the spotlight off the off-Broadway cast. Interesting casting: Exactly why it's eclipsed the NY version (well, so far). https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/mj-rodriguez-amber-riley-george-salazar-tackle-little-shop-horrors-1225156
  11. The Netflix doc was wholly better produced. It moved well, told the story in a coherent, cinematic way and did a great job of figuring out who the true victims of the con were.
  12. I blame Tippi and birdseed
  13. Ah. Gotcha. That he was a NEXUS user with access to GE, but not GE first might have had something to do with it. He was approved on the Canadian side for NEXUS. Something tells me that US CBP would use that as an excuse to slow someone down if they wanted to.
  14. Ellen Greene, the original Audrey, in 2015... Still giving a fully-realized character in one single song. You could literally watch this not knowing a thing about the show and understand her completely.
  15. And go... I mean, I think I'm working hard here while looking pretty decent in leg warmers.
  16. With previous history, I don't see this as a hard sell. It's just smart follow-up. When escorts start pinging random guys from those who view their profile on listing sites, I think that's a little pushy. There are a lot of gents who look around, aren't ready to commit and like the anonymity of figuring things out on their own clock.
  17. LSOH is a great show. It's just got so much going for it. Groff, eh? I think he's too cute for Seymour and not nearly nebbish enough. We'll see. He's very talented. Tammy Blanchard is a great actress and can sing just about anything. I loved her in the Radcliffe revival of How To Succeed and think she could do this justice if she's able to create a wholly different Audrey than Greene. For me, I still want to see Alice Ripley do Audrey, which she was cast for and fired from (along with almost everyone in the show) while they were previewing in Coconut Grove. The boots of her singing from the show are awesome. I'm hoping they can snag Titus Burgess for Audrey II. Unless they do a version of what Regent's Park did last year, I'd like to see what Titus's voice could do with the music.
  18. A little more detail on what Kurtis just posted... https://blog.1password.com/introducing-travel-mode-protect-your-data-when-crossing-borders/
  19. Interesting. Did they find what they were looking for? In hindsight, perhaps a never say never ideology should be taken when it comes to CBP.
  20. Pondering, sure. Following around an escort who's playing with you like a child's toy.... No. Even in an unregulated industry, professionalism can still be expected.
  21. Different fine. Don't ruin it with political correctness. It's a brilliant show as is. And don't fuck with good choreography. I cannot imagine WSS without the Robbins ballet-like movement.
  22. There's never been a traditional curtain call. I've seen the show multiple times and I'm still confused as to how it's as popular as it is.
