  1. I'm not sure, but it seems risky. It might put a business in legal jeopardy in the event there was an emergency.
  2. For what it's worth, this will be my 10th Carnaval this year in Rio. Been booked for the final week of parades and might stay for Champions. Not sure, but have never seen it before and thought it might be fun. Safe is relative. I'm a 6'3" muscular blond who stands out in Rio like a sore thumb, but I've never felt out of place or unsafe. I just use my head, keep my eyes open and don't go out of my way to act or look like a wealthy American. When you move with purpose through a city, it makes other people think you know what you're doing. That goes a long way in remaining safe. I've done fun hotels like Fasano and Copacabana Palace, but have had equally as great experiences with Airbnb, mainly going with units on Ipanema. You can always find hotel deals if you're willing to trek out to Barra. Some new hotels out there, American brands, but it's just removed enough from the action to feel a little slow. Uber rides where you want to be wouldn't be expensive, but traffic would be a nightmare. Parade tickets: I've used Bookers International many, many times and they've always come through. They can also arrange to pick you up from your hotel and take you back when you're done. It's super organized and very easy to deal with. For your first parade, I'd recommend getting as close as possible to really see the detail and get swept up in the energy. A front box or covered box seat. Also, stay awake until the end to see Beija Flor... Year after year, they put on an INCREDIBLE show. Make sure to spend time actually seeing Rio. It's a beautiful city in a wonderful country. Yeah, have some fun in the saunas, but don't just spend all of your time in a towel in some smoky, dark basement. Enjoy!
  3. Never assume that porn sex (or a filmed hookup) has anything to do with what an escort likes in their private life. If it serves purpose to sell memberships, downloads or 'time,' a lot of guys will expand their sexual horizons even if it's not exactly what turns them on. It's mentally a slippery slope and I've seen a lot of guys ruin the fun of sex in their personal lives because they've forced themselves to do things professionally that they dislike. I'd rather say no if it's going to feel like work.
  4. Regulars are everything. These are the guys you cultivate and care for.
  5. C'mon, the escort has a pic of his erect dick in his profile and then acts like he's wearing a hoop-skirt and carrying a parasol. It doesn't add up. Don't want people to think you're a sex object? Don't sell yourself as one. He's confusing the customer and in any form of advertising, that's not a good thing.
  6. What's most awesome about this story is that it involved two people actually talking at a bar. Not looking at Grindr. Not checking email. Not updating Insta. Real, actual, interesting conversation. How refreshing.
  7. A year later and a holiday reminder to help those who have given us such fantastic free content over the years. https://www.companyofmen.org/threads/the-data-are-what-the-data-are.126213/
  8. It deserves more than just the niche of foreign film. Parasite is better than 99% of films that have been released this year. It's the seismic shifts in tone that make it brilliant. The director doesn't want you comfortable.

  10. Does the third hour come with a complimentary ShamWOW?
  11. ... And I hear that they serve a mean G&T
  12. Yep. Which brings me to how useless those 'for my time only' disclaimers are that some escorts repeatedly use when corresponding or in their advertising: It won't help you a bit with a pandering or solicitation charge. A good attorney is a wonderful thing
  13. Frankly, whether you've donated once or one hundred times, it's good to see ANYONE bring this to the top of the forum.
  14. These are all astute observations of LV. It's basically the middlest of middle America: People who smirk at tits & ass, but you show them two men holding hands and the shit hits the fan. There are gay alcoves, but they remain in the shadows and the city seems fine keeping it that way. @LaffingBear, the true underwear night is at Charlies on Wed. Strip down, drink for free. Shower show at midnight.
  15. ... And that Fosse choreography rocked. Morse had a ton of odd ticks as Finch, but they worked. I've seen multiple revivals of this show, but always go back to his performance as what I'd consider penultimate.
  16. Gay life in Vegas has always felt several decades behind. Their local scene is slim. It's not that some of their bars don't make money: They profit massively (Piranha, mostly) . The owners simply don't put money back into the spaces or feel the need to build new ones. They're all windowless, smoky, depressing buildings. Tourists still show up and pay and locals don't demand anything more, so it continues to just slide by. Iconic severely undercapitalized. They didn't find a crowd. They were in a bad location. Sitting in the Vegas airport now and realized that the 'gayest' thing I did on this trip was go to Don't Tell Mama (piano bar, downtown). This isn't a city that I'd recommend coming to if you're wanting to really get into the scene. Vegas is hotels, spa, shows and malls.
  17. This is the kind of guy who will cross the wrong escort and end up at the bottom of a river.
  18. Long-haul flights are one reason why I've spent time building up extreme loyalty to certain airlines. I spent a fair amount of time in the beginning doing those 12-18 hour flights in coach... And now, I don't. SWU, mileage, etc. Anything to get up to that larger seat. I still love seeing the world with some great guys, but agree that the longest of long-hauls are a lot less exciting to me than they used to be. I've got an EWR-SIN coming up, as well as DFW-SYD in late spring... Both suck no matter where you're sitting.
  19. I'd like to see Rentmen add recipes and housekeeping tips
  20. I'm the hooker York Peppermint Patty
  21. Younger clients almost universally need to be re-taught how to have good sex. Grindr (and other apps) have ruined a generation into thinking that a quick, monosyllabic fuck is the only way to get laid. It's fun as long as the other guy can slow down a bit and understand what he's being asked to do.
  22. Certain threads make it glaringly, depressingly clear that it takes no real intelligence to get into this business. However, it takes extreme savvy and smarts to be successful and have a lasting career. As Daddy has often said, let's not feed the trolls
  23. I hate to say it, but all hotels- at every level- are susceptible to bed bugs. It's going to get worse before it gets better. I don't mind the St Regis Houston, but it's been in need of a remodel to match the newer StR properties.
  24. I never understand the South American allure of mixing mouthy drag queens in a gay man's sex sauna.
  25. Sadly, Montrose is nearly over. Like Boystown in Chicago, the Houston gayborhood broke up and dispersed. The most cohesive gay area in Texas is now in Dallas. Cedar Springs remains the only solid several blocks of all-gay/gay-owned establishments. Good places to stay in Houston: Hotel Alessandra (Downtown), The Four Seasons (Downtown) and the JW Marriott (Downtown).
