  1. Actually no its made me isolate myself from everyone to not get hurt again. I don't open up to anyone. I don't go out of my way to meet new people unless its escorting. My treatment is being alone because all I can trust is myself and I'm happy that way i guess.

    Do what works for you.

You might consider getting a dog. A dog would always be happy to see you. Byron liked Newfoundlands, but they may be a bit large for a Manhattan apartment.

  2. Hopefully one day i'll find someone who loves me and accepts all my flaws and won't leave me like everyone else has the first time things get tough

Have you considered the possibility that your upbringing and history have led you to seek out people who will not be there for you?

It's an insidious and recidivist disease, but it can be treated. You might try some ACA meetings; even if you're not actually an adult child of alcoholics, you might have a lot in common with them. Recovery is neither fast nor always pleasant, but it can happen.

  3. maybe its time to settle down with a fun silver daddy who lets me escort on the side, he can see his other boys, i can see my other daddies and ill be a househusband and everything will be alright in my life:D;):) :p

If I had the money, that's what I'd want. I wouldn't have to exhaust myself trying to singlehandedly satisfy your undoubtedly HUGE sexual appetite, and you wouldn't have to disappoint your legions of fans.

  4. Interesting. So you believe that the exchange of money for services doesn't constitute a contract?

If there was a contractual obligation, it was for United to let him on that flight. It's not clear that he was under any obligation to get off the plane after he had boarded. Everyone agrees that they could have denied him boarding initially. But they didn't; they tried to revoke his boarding after they had already collected his ticket and sat down on the plane, which is a different thing.

  5. I came a little late to the game. Story of my life. However I just binge watched 3 seasons of The Great British Baking Show and loved every minute. Never would have thought baking could be that exciting. Well, maybe exciting is a bit of an overstatement. Have tried to get friends interested and I just get funny looks. Okay, it's not Game of Thrones but still .....

At there's at least one hot guy every season!

  6. In response to his continuing and repeated refusal to comply with contractual and lawful requests AFTER being informed of the consequences of his refusal.

That's before BEFORE he was "treated horribly."

In general, no one is obliged to follow an illegal order. Whether he was under any contractual obligation is in dispute .

  7. I had a first-time experience. A 44 year old with a handsome avatar sent me a note of how he's a loving man and looking for love and needs substantial (>$10,000 / mo) 'arrangement. I was tempted to report it, but someone else did me the favor. Pity, too; he was good looking.

I wouldn't mind an extra $10,000 a month tax-free myself! Even though I have what some might consider a reasonable income, I wouldn't mind being able to fly 1st Class all the time.

Are these arrangements tax-free legally? That is, is the money considered taxable employment income or a non-taxable gift?

I've been communicating with an adoptee from Romania, who's a social worker and just my type. "Okay," says me, "That's unlikely." I inadvertently [as much as things are inadvertent, when "vetting" someone online, which is akin to stalking ... really, I wasn't ...] found a video of him online. Nice kid. He's not looking for money; he just needs someone to look out for him for awhile.I've invited him to Boston (on my dime) and have no idea if sex will be involved. We've already determined that cuddling will be.

    So you never know.

He was adopted from Romania, has grown up, and now lives in the US? That's a difficult situation. Not as bad as an aged-out foster child, perhaps, but still not good. Let us know what happens, please.

  8. I'm told a lot of passengers don't tip and the drivers are getting pretty pissed off at non-tipper because they have taken a couple pay cuts due to Uber cutting fares. The drivers I know will rate a passenger lower for non-tipping and when it comes to pickups will only pick up higher rated passengers figuring a lower rated won't tip

A Lyft driver recently told me that he wouldn't find out how much I tipped. Maybe he meant that he wouldn't find out immediately.

I don't see my rating; is it visible to me somewhere? I also don't see how to change my music preference, so maybe I just don't know how to use the app.

  9. 1. buried somewhere in the Contract Of Carriage, I presume, is a line that allows airlines to bump already-seated passengers...we all agree to this Contract when we buy a ticket

The Contract of Carriage mentions the right to deny boarding; refusal to carry, which is what happened here (boarding had already happened), is in a different section. No one is saying United didn't have a right to refuse to allow him to board in the first place, but they didn't exercise that right, and they did allow him to board and take a seat.

  10. I live in a area with a large gay population, young and old, so yes, I get hit on by younger guys a lot, but their motivation is often suspect...I thought Julian's response was amusing.."If I'm screwing around with him, I'm going to have to pay for dinner 'again', I don't mind paying for dinner, but at some point, it's like, I can't really build much with someone who can't 'ever' pay for dinner"

I wondered, "Why not?" The old-style woman-is-housekeeper marriages worked exactly that way.

  11. Most every aircraft component bigger than a rivet is what manufacturing industry calls a "serialized part": Each individual part bears a unique serial number used to maintain a traceable log of that part's lifecycle, from manufacture and quality inspection throughout its service life. It would have to be a rather insider job to credibly spoof that serial number on this part.

Yes, but even an obviously spoofed serial number would cause confusion. It's headline news now even though no one knows where it came from.

  12. Since only one 777 was lost over the Indian Ocean, we can conclude from process of elimination that the flaperon found on Reunion Island is part of the missing Maylasian Airlines Flight 370.

One article I read said that it would be possible to obtain 777 parts, if one had money and the intent to cause confusion.

  13. I used to think that younger men being attracted to older men was an urban myth. Now that I'm in my 60's, I can tell you that it is not.

I also, in my 20's, used to wonder whether, when I got to be 50 or 60, if I would be attracted to men my own age. I'm very happy to find that I am. I LOVE other old guys, with the one qualification that they have to be fit old guys.

Yep, stay in shape and don't let the sun turn your skin into leather, and age doesn't matter much. (Leather skin is just as much a turnoff in 20 year olds as in 60 year olds, but less common.)
