  1. DC movies just don't seem as well done as the Marvel movies in every respect. Sad because I was a DC reader growing up, and absolutely loved Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, but they've all been bad since then. Don't know what it is but Marvel found the touch and has retained it.

  2. Sexy son-bitch...

That's Trent Locke, used to do porn and escort, don't think he's doing either any more.

  3. I watched the first episode or two of season one, dropped off of watching it, then read the first book over vacation, then caught up on the rest of season one. I've been following the show since, and am about halfway through the 4th book. Hope to finish the books as they stand so far over our camping trip this year.

  4. (I resemble this remark.)

This echoes a comment my older sister made about 10 years ago when going to her first concert in possibly decades, a Rolling Stones concert. She thought she'd feel old and out of place. She came back saying that she was amazed at how many people at the concert had walkers.

  5. I saw an article yesterday where a guy claimed he'd watched the show with someone who could read lips. It said Lyanna whispered "his name is " followed by something that ended with an 's'. That could imply that he is indeed Rhaegars's son (lots of 's'-ending names among the Targaryens), and hence Dany's nephew (Rhaegar was her much-older brother).

I've seen two articles about Varys's travel. The simpler one just said that the episode DID indeed encompass a long stretch of time, which gave Varys time to get back to Mereen (with the Tyrell and Dorne fleets). It mentioned Tyrell and Dornish banners on the ships, I'll have to rewatch to see that - I was more focused on the dragons in that shot. The other theory said that Varys is a merman, and he can travel quickly through water (huh?). Some support for this was when he & Tyrion were talking, and Varys mentioned that he would not have minded at all if Tyrion had thrown him off the side of a ship.

Arya was in Braavos, and looking at a map of Westeros (my new obsession :-)), it's a straight water trip across the narrow sea and on the river Trident to the twins. Maybe Arya got rowed on the river by Gendry? :-)

  6. Nymeria (Arya's wolf) is a bit more active in the books, Arya is having dreams of her, and saw her in the distance once while travelling - can't remember if she was with the Hound at that point or not (SO much detail to remember in the books).

A friend was so afraid that Ghost died when Jon Snow came back to life, that Ghost had sacrificed himself for Jon. He was very relieved the next week.

  7. SO many characters I have not read the books so usually I need to see the person to realize who they are. With the squire who poisoned Robert Baratheon, I did not recognize him as they either changed actors or he got a lot hunkier. Anyway it wasnt until Cerce (sp) described him did I recognize him as one of the religious zealots.

Agreed. That is Lancel Lannister, it's the same actor, but in the first season or two, he had awful long hair and much different mannerisms. I think the long hair was to make him look a bit like Jaime, which was why Cersei took him to bed. Once they cut his hair & had him join the Sparrows, and show a bit more chest :-), he was much hotter.
