Well, they are both women, Mayor Parker had the entire Democrat Party on her side. There were other candidates, initially but it was clear they had no chance. -

My dad died when I was in high school. However, although my mom didn't complete freshman year highschool she was determined that I go to college (She was born in 1908; the youngest of eight children) I graduated Boston College in 1965 -
