The other major beach in Sydney is Bondi, a bit more blue color. The gay beach is a hike from downtown (that is, the Sydney Opera House). I believe it's called Lady Jane, but haven't been there since 1998.

I have mentioned that I was able to spend a day with Bobby Seale when he worked for the Philadelphia Unemployment Project. Thoughtful, relatively quiet man when working with the unemployed.
