No. Why would a history professor, or any other college professor, explain in so much detail? The lectures, readings and recitations are carefully planned. I mentioned earlier that I did research in 17th and 18th century European history in French. Because it was the diplomatic language for the Australians as well as the French.

Most students are serious. Remember I audited history, literature and political science courses at the the University of Pennsylvania until four years ago. And I did all the reading assignments as well. I talked to the students a lot.. History professors warn students to not use Wikepida

History students often do research in French because it was the diplomatic language at one point. I suppose Wikipedia may function as a first read on history, but that's it. Students are rather good at finding primary sources on their own, before Wikipedia.

I really like Stockholm in the late Summer (August, early September), but I don't expect everyone to agree. it is rather expensive, an understatement. And downtown is not very interesting, but staying near the Baltic Sea is interesting.

Nobody is suggesting Wikipedia for a doctorate. Or a term paper and/ or studying for an exam from elementary school to grad school. For that matter!
