With Celebs, its all about image, exposure and staying relevant. Their fans are what actually makes them, NOT their talent, so they need to stay in the public eye. For many like Ripa, and other talk show hosts, I suppose their contracts dictate "no work so pay" so they are opting to continue their shows from home. It is amazing to me what all these people LOOK LIKE with the assistance of their Glam teams. It proves the theory "celebs really ARE like us".... Most look awful ! Then we have those that are banding together for shows like "Disney Sing Along" which I watched last night and enjoyed, whose goal it was to raise money for various causes like food banks etc, which I wholeheartedly Endorse.... So its really a mixed bag.... Yes many are just thirsty and want to make sure WE don't forget them, and are really tone deaf in their approach, but then there are the ones that really mean well, and although they may be financially blessed, and lavishly quarantined, they "really ARE like us".....
