  1. LMAO...:D
  2. Good Lord... Time to thin the herd...
  3. LMAO....
  4. LOL...Of course instead of doing it my way and mailing a disc halfway around the world, I suppose you could just do it Larstrup's way.
  5. Can you give him your Apple ID account info, and have him log onto your itunes account under your name? Or...can you download the album onto a disc and send him the disc? Just thinking out-loud.
  6. Anyway of getting a face pic?
  7. The Funk and Wagnalls came to us by a door to door salesman. The big rival at the time was the Britannica Encylopedia, which was clearly better and more expensive. I think the grocery store promotion came sometime in the 70's at a time when encyclopedias were losing popularity.

  9. Funk and Wagnalls encyclopedias... (Yes my dad bought them)
  10. I unfortunately do not know of anyone. I have not hired from that area, but friends have had relatively good success in both cities. Invariably the guys they hire are usually college boys, so how bad could that be.
  11. There's nothing in Big "Sir" except... the rangers. ...You could try San Jose or Santa Cruz. Both great University towns. Friends have had good luck in both cities. San Jose is about an hours drive from Monterey and Santa Cruz about half that....good luck
  12. And she still comes here just to snoop around, grab some dirt, then slither back...
  13. Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza Delish for a chain.... Paulie's Pie Meatballs, Sausage, Hot or Sweet Peppers & Ricotta Cheese.
  14. It was a sad day when they closed. The old Helms Bakery Trucks have become very collectable. Helms Bakery 1941 (I of course wasn't born yet)
  15. It was wonderful...Helms Bakery was in Culver City and they would go through the neighborhood just like an ice cream truck. They had donuts, bread, bagels, pies, cakes and cookies, all made fresh in the factory a few blocks away.
  16. In Culver City there was the Helms Bakery Truck..can still smell them to this day. http://media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/31/1d/1f/311d1f19b447e4285e618bd1e49fd0f6.jpg
  17. Drugs are a wonderful thing...
  18. The girls...
  19. Yes..avocado's toasted on buttered bread sprinkled with lemon pepper on top...
  20. End of conversation...
  21. Same..depends on the bread. Olive oil and butter are both wonderful. I could empty the bread basket at a restaurant several times and skip dinner.
  22. How about their name... If you are talking about terms used in actual conversations, unless I'm missing something, and I could be, why don't you use their name? I love strip clubs. I talk to and hire strippers all the time, and I've never used any term other than their name. The moment I meet someone, the first thing I ask is their name. I'm trying to imagine a conversation with someone about hiring and using another term other than someones name. But that's just me...
  23. I agree, Facebook has it's place and for those that understand it's limitations, it can be a real social connect. I've abandoned facebook because it no longer was a useful way of connecting with people. I tend to just pick up the phone more, text (to make sure someone is available) and email, but calling is my preferred method. I like to hear the sound of someone's voice. You can tell more about what's really going on in someones life.
  24. Well said...Many of us come to these boards with a variety of life's experiences. Some are educated experiences, some make assumptions and use them as fact. You have to weed through all of that to find truth. It's messy business sometimes.
