  1. It also makes the relationship slightly pervy. Just sayin’...

I think Oliver was aware of the "perviness" when he told Elio "I don't want you to regret anything or MESS YOU UP in any way." But being the older (and wiser) party, he was also aware that this experience would only help Elio grow up to be a well adjusted emotionally healthy human being. My 2 cents :)

  2. Saw this for the 6th time, I think. Can I say again how refreshing to see gay characters onscreen who are not depressed, persecuted, suicidal or addicted to drugs or alcohol? Instead, they are intelligent (intellectuals even) fully fleshed out characters. In a fair world, TC should be a lock for Best Actor but his youth and Hollywood's still remaining aversion to gay characters could work against him. Really bummed AH, MS, LG and their cinematographer were snubbed. The directors of CMBYN and 3 Billboards should have been nominated. They are victims of the "diversity" thing going on in Hollywood. IMO.

  3. "Went to see this film again for the 3rd time over the weekend. I'm a bit obsessed. The theater was packed. Sold out. Tons of younger folk. It almost felt like a Millenial's viewing."

Got you beat, rogerG :) I`m on my fifth viewing now. I think good word-of-mouth is kicking in. First time I saw this was in the smallest theater in this multiplex and it was half empty. I noticed the theater getting fuller on each subsequent viewings. On this latest viewing, the same multiplex has moved the film into one of their biggest auditoriums and it was packed.

  4. My 4th viewing. I'm officially obsessed. This time I noticed how quiet the audience was during the love scenes especially during the midnight lovemaking. Except these two guys in front of me who were derisively laughing and whispering during the early making out scenes and finally walking out during the midnight scene. Didn't they have any idea what type of movie they were going to see?Presumably, they were straight and/or conservative (and Republican?) Has anybody else seen any negative reaction or walkouts?

  5. I know! What kind of "gay" movie is this? No dicks? Nobody committing or even contemplating suicide? Or murdered for being gay? No escort in sight within miles (and an excuse to show more dicks!) No angry or disappointed parents? No druggie or alcoholic or somebody with STD or AIDS? I think I'll go and rent Eating Out (#10 I think it is now?) to wash away the bad taste this film left behind. And see lotsa Dicks!

  6. My third time seeing this. I'm able to truly appreciate how delicate and sensitive the director's touch is especially in the love scenes. Even the peach scene. As for Chalamet, this quote from the Guardian sums it all up: "It is the kind of performance that isn't just down to actorly technique but openness and emotional purity." You listening, Academy members?

  7. Saw this the second time. While the father's speech and Elio's amazingly expressive face at the end credits lingered in my mind the first time, this time it's the intense eroticism that stayed with me. Amazingly, there's no frontal nudity or too much skin exposed. And Luca loves those frontal shots. (See A Bigger Splash.) Only goes to show sensuality is mostly in the brain and not in the crotch. And I won't be able to look at a peach again without getting aroused!

  8. I wouldn't mind if he's older--I like the DILF look. But it would be nice to hear from someone who has booked him before. Anyone?

Yes, he`s the guy in the photos but a lot older and leaner and more muscled. Still good looking. Nice guy and good conversationalist. Massage was average and run-of-the-mill. Nude. MT allowed but no HE which does not make sense to me. You`re already naked and being fondled, why not take that next logical step. He did not get hard and gave off a Straight vibe. Nice experience but there are other masseurs who offer better massages with a lot more extras at $150, so no repeat for me.

  9. I saw him a couple months ago for a 90 min massage.

Initially when I arrived he seemed a bit stand-offish. Based on my experience, his massage skills were 'just OK'

But he is absolutely gorgeous, handsome face and flawless body which he was not shy about. And the sensual part was great.

It was late when I saw him, maybe he was having an off day.

I have been meaning to go back, but I would just do 60 mins, not shell out for 90 mins again.

Feel free to PM if you want any more specific info.

I had the same experience. While the massage was good and sensual and he's gorgeous in face and body, he was not completely there. I also sensed a West Hollywood vibe which you can interpret in your own way.
