Update, after arriving home from Greece abut two weeks ago - had my interview at LAX . Took 60-90 mins of waiting, very simple “interview”. Just got email saying my application complete and approved. Card will be mailed. 👍🏻

Well, couple days in Athens alone. Then took a ferry to Milos, where I met a group of friends on a largish catamaran for 8 days of cruising around the Lower Cyclades islands. Great fun. Off the catamaran, and then a ferry to Santorini..and a beautiful Airbnb villa with spectacular views for 3 days. A friend flew in and meet me in Santorini. Then back to Athens for touristy stuff with my friend, then home. Returned home with (a mild case) Covid 😖 Was a great trip, crossed sailing in the Greek Islands off my bucket list…but I’d do it again.

I’m hoping for this airport interview when I return from Greece. Not a renewal but first time, got an email from them suggesting I try it.

So I tried Airalo, and it won’t install on my iPhone 11 Pro. After a few very quick/friendly emails with their support team….turns out my ATT iPhone is still on an installment plan, ATT won’t unlock SIM or allow additional SIM’s until phone paid off. I do this installment thing because I can change to new phones frequently. I’ll use my ATT international-by-day plan at $10/day but tops out at $100/month. I have a seeking buddy meeting me in Santorini, (he’s very nervous it’s his first international travel) so I fired up an extra iPhone I keep active, added international plan to that and mailed to him this morning. Airalo happily refunded my $25 for the plan I’d set up and couldn’t use.

I appreciate he’s getting himself ready for me…😉
