I'm looking to host an encounter in Manhattan somewhere, and the thought was to get a hotel just for the 2 hr evening. But I do not really want to lay out $300 on a room that will be used for like 2-3 hours. Options I have found is using Hotwire with the mystery 4 star hotel -- when booking 5-7 days out, there are rooms for $100 (so 200 after taxes etc). But with some providers they have trouble booking that far out. What other resources are there in Manhattan (and I guess surrounding areas) for a room that will only be used 2 hrs, and is cheaper than 200? Of course, don't want bed bugs LOL. Something reasonable. I know there are day rate blocks but they don't seem to be much cheaper than 100 (200 with tax). Anyone have any ideas? Appreciate any tips.
