Since this thread is specifically on Babylon, I'll post here on my first visit rather than the eternal Spas in NYC mishmash. Babylon is a very decent place. Physical facilities wise, I'd compare it similarly to Greenhouse. Nice size rooms, full floor to ceiling walls, good A/C, clean and quiet. The massage table was good size and happily it was one of few face rests where my face didn't go numb after 50 minutes into a 90 minute session. They don't have hot towels, but they have a kickass shower like I've never seen. And the massage... I know we're not supposed to do outright reviews, so I'll just say that August is all he's made out to be above in this thread and other threads. I'd rate it was one of the top two technical massages I've ever had in a spa. The mix of style and deepness were perfect. Add in the sensual and HE components, amazing $80 deal for 90 minutes. Two things I really appreciated... 1. Communication - even though his English is challenged, he's one of the first Spa masseurs that introduced himself, asked my name and engaged me at the beginning and then followed up with a text after on how I was feeling. 2. No massage through a towel - from the get go he massaged me, hands to skin and used oil very sparingly. Most definitely will be back. Want to try Dylan. August is a real keeper.

I'm pretty regular at Greenhouse. It has nicely large and clean rooms. It's quiet and well run. It's been my go to place for OK (basic is not unreasonable) technical massages with a higher degree of sensual edge. By sensual, I mean teasing feather touch laser focused on all those the places that make you smile. Rarely will the guys there get naked or go beyond an attentive HE. But I can only think of one instance where I left disappointed, and even then I felt the guy had promise. Biggest issue there is the turnover. They all move on. My two favorites Tony and Alen seem to have disappeared. That said, it's also exciting (in the moment) to get someone new and have that anticipation of a new find. I went just before vacation a few weeks ago and got this new tall strapping Asian guy (sorry, forgot his name). Average massage, but happily more time was spent where I wanted it and how I wanted it. From a sensual aspect, I was feeling that he was trained by Tony. For me it's the best 90min deal for that type of experience.

I'd also recommend Greenhouse. Quite nice (once you're in the door) and the guys (all Asian) are clean cut. Sensual is guaranteed.

In fairness, he was describing how he felt about himself which inhibits his going to a younger masseur. I thought it was a fair statement, even related to it a bit for myself and didn't feel like any judgement was being passed on.
