I got giardia maybe 20 years ago and it took me a long time to get rid of it after multiple antibiotic treatments; and I'm not sure of the source--it could have been bad water, bad food or rimming; I haven't had it since, but I believe the OP answered his own question: this is just part and parcel of enjoying men's bodies -

@Onamission: please be careful!
