I have been hiring providers for many years and only once did someone ask me that, over the phone, while we were working out logistics & details. I told him I'm not in law enforcement, but apparently he didn't believe me because he didn't show up at the agreed upon location & time. But that was many years ago. However, I'd be lying if I said this doesn't cross my mind, given the current political environment. This is one of the reasons why I actually prefer that the provider blur their face (or hide it) in their profiles. With the current state of technology and AI, and cameras everywhere, it wouldn't take much for law enforcement to identify people who advertise. I once met a provider who was living in the U.S. but was from Europe and he told me that he had friends (I guess you could call them co-workers?) who had been denied entry into the U.S. because they somehow knew that the person worked as a service provider.

Hello everyone, I've read several posters here say that they won't trust reviews of providers that are posted on rentmen. But, until I discovered this site, I was going almost entirely off of reviews from rentmen and trusted (mostly) what I read there. Of course I always checked to see if the reviewer's account is recent and for other reviews that "look" fake, but I was under the impression that RM only posts reviews if the client & provider have already made contact, so I always thought it was a good source for reviews. Is that wrong? I know that the community here often discusses individual providers, but is there a reason that I should trust opinions from CoM more than from RM? Not trying to stir the pot, just genuinely wondering. Thanks in advance to everyone here who can add something constructive!

The reason I prefer no face pics in a provider's profile is that, to me, it signifies someone who is more discreet and more likely to take privacy seriously. I'm concerned for the provider too of course, because IMHO this type of business should be legalized, but that's just not the world we live in. I also don't want to know that my provider might be picked up and harassed.

Hi everyone, First, a note of thanks to everyone on CoM. I'm relatively new here but I have found it to be a useful resource for this hobby of mine. I wanted to ask if anyone else has had similar thoughts with respect to face photos. Specifically, with the news reporting that people (even US citizens) are having their phones confiscated and searched by immigration/customs officials at airports, is anyone else bothered by the idea of a provider offering face pics in their profile? I don't mean to sound paranoid, but given the political direction of things in the U.S. today, it wouldn't take much for a customs or immigration officer to scan someone's phone or do an AI image search of their face to see that they're engaging in this like of work. Does that bother anyone else, especially providers? I generally would prefer guys who don't show their face, but they're the vast minority, so it's not really practical. Anyone else?
