No one’s suggesting rates are high or low in this city. The question is why / how are the rates so similar and basically identical

Ok, thanks for all the responses. The summary seems to be London experiences overall are superior and pleasant relative to other cities. Glad some of you boys have had museum and dinner experiences etc with your hires, but the question remains - is there outright and explicit collusion or coordination in pricing in this city? Just don’t buy the pricing is visible so everyone lands on the same rate argument - that’s just not the case, pricing is largely not visible until you actually chat directly to providers. Collusion, coordination, syndicate at play???

But rates are not always visible, in fact they’re mostly not. Only when you engage / chat with a provider and they inform you their rates does it become clear the pricing is near identical

Is it negotiable? Or would they simply stop being responsive if one tried to counter offer

Coalesce is one thing, I’ve found Latin (Brazilian specifically) providers in particular based in London are exact to the pound. Their rates are not usually always published yet still the same. Coordination a possibility?
