I had a run-in with a version of this issue in Pennsylvania. In PA, the homeowner does not have to disclose the use of spy cameras even to their spouse (co-owner.) The use of the camera becomes illegal if the courts determined that the spy camera was being used for self-gratification purposes. The cost to litigate was estimated to run between $40-50K (with no guarantees, of course.) Use Google images to check out 'spy cameras.' It's disgusting the lengths some people will go to serve their mental illness.

I express regret that he didn't include that requirement in his ad or in our discussion because for me that's a deal breaker. Universally, those who require the money up front have no intent on delivering on their promises. I also don't give them the choice of changing their mind of taking payment afterward. In my opinion, in that moment they are hustling me and that's not going to happen. In all fairness I'll add that my well trained Doberman Pinscher is in the area.
