Never had an issue with them, and I love their one year return policy.

I understand the appeal sex-wise, but does being on a ship with the same people for days on end get dull? I know they visit various ports, but I’d dread having to board the ship after that. I’ve enjoyed three hour mini-cruises both here and abroad though.

i felt totally fine when I was in bed. But because I had some post-anesthesia issues and then almost fainted when getting up, I'm in the PACU/observation overnight. But it went fine. My organs remain in place and are clear. As for searching out the leaders in the field, that's surprisingly challenging. I looked at published outcome data, even though that criterion effectively discriminates against non-academic physicians who don’t publish. Referrals tend to be hyper-local though my own GP asked for advice from an out of town colleague I also had a list of questions for consults, and I added new questions as I learned. I looked not only at the answer but at the way the surgeon thought about various issues. Bedside manner tends to affect that last criterion. Anyway, I'm confident that I did the best due diligence I could. I knew this was coming, but the pain right now is a bitch.

I definitely didn't know. But In this case, the pros didn't know either. The GI doc ran labs that showed severe ID anemia, but no one could explain the swallowing issue. I noticed that it resolved a couple of weeks after I started taking iron. It turns out that dysphagia (and carious variants) occasionally presents with ID anemia.

Over four years after the first strange symptoms showed up, I’m finally having surgery this morning. I chose my doctor without regard to location. after two consults and a preop, I think I made the best choice I could. Still barely slept though. It would have been easier and the result better had I done it 4 years ago, but what can you do? Thanks for the support, everyone.

Thanks, Rudynate. It's pelvic surgery (laparoscopic unless disaster strikes), but that's probably not far behind spine surgery. I already eat out a lot now, but I can always live a bit more.

Apropos of weight: I showed up in preop having lost the 7-8 pounds I gained during the severe neck pain. I'm still well within the normal BMI range. As he walked me out, my surgeon looked me over and said, "This [3 hour surgery] will be hard on your body. Take care of yourself over the next few days. Eat and drink." I eat plenty, but his instincts are usually right on. Are surgical patients better off eating more a few days before surgery?

I'm a veggie burger fan, but I prefer the original grain/legume ones. They're harder to find now.

The median size of women in the U.S. is between 16 and 18. They’d be fools to ignore that market.

Another(!) reason I fly only on my Private Jet.

I was joking. A mini horde could definitely hurt a child. -

Are you suggesting that Flirty be kicked off the flight? -
I love piano bars. I hadn’t been to one in a long time but passed by one and went in. There are usually a few there enjoying the music, and the guys are very friendly. So I wasn’t surprised when a (significantly older) man struck up a conversation. This guy was appeared to be regular and said he was bi. He seemed a tad uncomfortable with his sexuality. (He called himself “closeted” but quickly corrected himself.) I found him interesting but not for me, so I didn’t let him buy me drinks. Unfortunately, he hadn’t gotten the memo about consent and wouldn’t stop trying to kiss me. That happens, but it’s awkward in a setting like that. He insisted on walking me out, and I really couldn’t stop him. Interestingly, once we were outside where the bouncers could see us, his behavior suddenly improved. I quickly found a cab.

Yes, I’m totally fine with the ubiquitous crop tops. And it’s hard to hide bra straps, so many women replace the originals with more attractive ones. People also wear sports bras while running. But I rarely see bra cups showing under clothes. Something about that looks off to me, though Katie and her stylist apparently disagree.

I don’t know, but he comes across as a middle school bully.

I think the issue is that the bra cups (not just the straps) are showing. That’s not a great look regardless of the material.

Listening to people bitch and moan is part of what hairdressers do—or did before the advent of smart phones. She could have delivered the message effectively without hurting a longtime client. I wonder if there is a different issue at play here, maybe tipping. My longtime hairdresser often complained about his husband and the salons that had fired him. Sometimes, he appeared to be on some kind of substance. There were times when it was distracting. But he was very talented, and I had certainly done my share of venting, so I continued the relationship.

Ah, I thought RB was just quipping. I realized he was referring to Sepulveda himself. -

How old is the celebrated rentboy? It sounds like he’s already had work done by this same guy, work that now needs to be revised. -
I wish I could help somehow. All I can say is that the first few months will probably be the toughest time because you're tired and have no time to yourself. Other fathers here can probably help more.
