I hadn't watched Netflix much before this, but I found a couple of foreign series on there. 1. Baby, an Italian series. The blurb says, "Wealthy teens at an exclusive high school in Rome lead a dark secret life at night." I had hoped this would be something cool like arms dealing, but no, it's just a paid sex and selling pot. Everyone's sellin' ass and paying for it, including a new teacher. Until the second season, no one seems to realize that underage sex trafficking is a crime. The nasty high school bullies, many of them annoyiing closet cases, are always blackmailing everyone. The pimp threatened to kill one of them but unfortunately never came through. But it's not all bad. In the world of Baby, the clients and even the pimps are gorgeous. There's also a coming out storyline involving the headmaster's son. The soundtrack is all cheesy pop. Someone gets beaten up and a some song called "Havin' a bad day" plays. It's a reasonable Covid watch though. As in Grease, the actors are all in their 20s. 2. Shtisel, an Israeli drama about an extended ultra-religious family in Jerusalem. I've rewatched some episodes. The writing and acting are excellent, and the lead actor is hot. Highly recommended.

I'm an introvert too and need a lot of time alone for every hour I spend with people. But now I'm learning that I enjoy being around people more than I thought. What's depressing about the isolation is that there's nothing good waiting for me on the other side. I'm not referring to romance or sex here but just hanging out with people.

I'm walking on my building's roof deck at night. Otherwise, walking around in my apartment a lot.

I decided to fly back home to NY today. I was supposed to go back in February but had to stay for a few more weeks. I’m at greater risk there, but I’d rather put myself at risk than my parents. Plus, we keep different hours, which gets hard when we’re all locked down. Wish me luck.

Cooking at home is ideal. But ordering in is better than eating out, which gives you the same bacteria with more interpersonal contact.

If I ever decide to hang out in that dodgy area near the railroad crossing, I’ll bring a folding chair and some Girl Scout Lemon Ups. I like my guilty pleasures all at once.

How bad are jacuzzis, assuming you use them alone and they’re kept pretty hot? I’d think that the heat would kill the virus although the area around the tub cpu,d get pretty geeky. I’m at a hotel now and wluld love to take a dip.

I was supposed to fly back home to NYC but thought I’d be safer here in northern CA. My building in NYC is huge and would need to take the elevator constantly. Now I wish I had flown back because I risk infecting my parents, who are obviously at higher risk. Would I be nuts to take a cross country flight in two weeks? My support animal will be protected.

Given how aggressively this is spreading, I wouldn’t take any chances. It might be worth cancelling even if you’re not insured, though that’s a tough pill to swallow.

There’s an industrial site halfway across the country that I’d like to visit, but it’s kind of dangerous. Guys apparently get robbed there. Also, people will think I’m a cop, and the cops will assume I’m soliciting.

I enjoy reading reviews of cruising site. This should be a vicarious sexual thrill, but it’s not. Quite the contrary: The idea that, somewhere, guys are cruising at a park in is calming and helps me fall asleep. My favorite spots to read about are industrial areas and anything near rivers or railroad tracks. I have yet to visit any of them. I’m less interested in the actual sex than the whole process by which people find partners.
