I thought it was pretty funny, though pilots are not supposed to chit chat before the plane reaches 10K feet. I wonder what happened on the ground that prompted this. Mask rules? Got rejected by someone who drives a Hyundai? The interviews with earnest passengers are funny too.

There’s almost no limit as to how late women can give birth using a transferred embryo and hormones. (Of course, risks skyrocket after a certain point.) I agree 100 percent with Lookin. For Mayo, you could call financial services and see if they could reduce the cost of a consult. Have you tried calling the doctor’s office and trying to get the appointment moved up. You could explain the situation and ask them to talk to the doctor directly. They should be able to squeeze you in early this week. I think an advocate is a great idea. You could even conference someone in virtually.

I am really sorry to hear about the insurance, Tyro. This is a long shot, but do you qualify for Medicaid?

@tyro You’re in the Midwest, right? How is your insurance? Could you ask your doctor refer you to someone at Mayo who is doing cutting edge work? Being assertive with medical staff is difficult in the best of times and more so when you’re worried and not feeling your best. But it’s often the best way to get results.

I come from a family of non-drinkers. There were little bottles of airline liqueur at home but no one drank them. Bottles wine etc. sat around for years, untouched. We were allowed to drink red wine on holidays if we wished, but I found the taste repulsive.

This isnt limited to escorts. Remember when social media was awash with pleas to buy gift cards so that restaurants could survive? One fancy place around here promoted its pick-up-only, $130 per person Valentine’s Day dinners. They noted that ”our website’s payment system does not accept gift cards.” This was on their own site, not on a delivery service. The special V-day items were still available the following week.
