  1. He posted in this forum nine more times since you wrote that! I think that's 27 since I posted this one.

I don't seem to see a problem here. I thought you posted to share, not to compete.....I, for one, appreciate your efforts and the efforts of all posters. Thank you.

  2. Had one guy ask for past hires so that he could contact as references.....Some past hires (that won't be hired again) probably won't provide any or any valuable info, current regulars may be concerned about being moved aside....so, just said sorry, buddy....good luck.

  3. Not sure I grasp the logic of the question. What would be the purpose of closing down the sites? Not sure closing down forms of communication and interaction are even in the best interest of the public in times of more forced isolation.

  4. Totally agree. I found that, except for a very few hires, most left me unimpressed and feeling that the expenditure did not support the results. ...and there are other things that can use the funds...house upkeep and improvement, family, friends, and just plain old savings. Not that the urge isn't there...and I do still "window shop"....just listen to the little voice that says..."are you sure?"

  5. And so here we are on this fine forum painting the world all sorts of the same color with the widest, biggest paint brush we can come up with. Think we should realize that maybe each arrangement is different to the different parties and may require varying degrees of communication in order for both parties to be ready to meet?

  6. Caleb, I think you need to remember that every instance and potential client is different, as are the reasons they may want to hire you and fly you to visit them. Many just have the funds available to hire those who interest them most, regardless of the cost involved in the meeting. Others may live in areas where escorts are few and far between and find themselves in a position of either flying men to them, flying to the men, or not hiring. And it goes on and on....I think the most important thing you can do is communicate more than you would otherwise so that you can develop your own feel for the potential client, his respect level, his sincerity, and the reason he called on you. While this communication won't necessary eliminate the "flake" consideration, it will go a long way toward your developing a feel for whether the meet would have a probability of going well or not. I respect Tarte's comment that he would never hire for a weekend without having had several shorter encounters. In many instances, your potential client may not have that luxury. Bottom line, be careful, communicate, follow your gut feeling....and maybe feel a bit honored that of all the men your potential meet could have called and wanted to meet...he called you. Yes, you will probably have to provide your real name, your birthdate, and maybe even an address....to someone who obviously does not live in your neighborhood. If that's not for you to start with, then I think you have your answer all ready.

As for asking for a "deposit".....maybe the price of an airline ticket should be an indication of the level of interest?

  7. To put it plainly. Providers of any service have the right to set their rates at whatever level they want and feel they need. Blake and Zachary have stated their favor for higher rates and the correspondingly fewer clients to pay those rates. Raise your rates 25%, lose 20% of your new clientele, you work less and make 5% more logic? Ok. I for one would move on, respecting their rights to do so, wondering about their logic, but moving on nonetheless. Economics pure and simple - nothing to do with politics. Blake takes it one step farther...seeking to have all of his competitors also raise their rates in order to protect his position in the pack...and having a lesser overall effect on his local earnings position. Marketplace will fix that notion in the long run.
