  1. Really? I'm waiting for people to take to the streets, screaming their heads off. I wonder what the hundreds of homeless on 14th Street think about the "adjusting for inflation" argument? For the first time in my NYC life, I'm seeing young women with a baby in their lap on the street begging. And no they are not Black. You'd have to be blind, or willfully in denial not to see what is going on right now.
  2. That was wild. Thank you for the link. I hear Meg Stalter is replacing Maya Rudolph in Oh Mary!
  3. We drove past a gas station in Manhattan yesterday. The price was $6.90 a gallon. My electric bill this month has never been higher, and I seriously don't use much electricity because my apartment is too bright. IMO, the world has gone insane.
  4. I watched some of it again, too. Pink's opening number was really something. She brought so much irresistible charm to the show. I. too, have not seen Book of Mormon. Andrew Rannells and Josh Gad recently stepped into the show for a week to celebrate its anniversary. I tried to go, but there were no tickets for under $400. Insane. Like many things these days, Broadway is for the rich.
  5. I was surprised how energetic the show was this year. The NY Times wrote a glowing review today. I had no idea that Pink could belt. I was never attracted to her music or her musical performances, but last night, she really left a positive impression. I loved her All That Jazz. She ended up making a terrific host for the show. I don't think there were many surprise acting winners. And the musicals sort of went as predicted. I have friends who went to see Ragtime, and they walked out at intermission, saying it was too depressing and boring. To each his own. Schmigadoon looks fun and interesting. I have an old-fashioned theater side to me, so maybe I should check this out. On the contrary, I have no interest in Lost Boys, especially after last night. I would like to see Luke Evans in Rocky Horror, but the worst seats are over $400. It's a serious hot ticket right now, and I don't see that cooling off. How smart that Jellicle Ball handed out fans to everyone. But with that number, you've pretty much seen the entire show. I'm very surprised the directors took home the prize. Even more surprised that Andre de Shields got nominated, since he doesn't do much other than sit on a throne. I'm sorry I can't see Liberation. I don't like when shows win after they're long gone. I have to say, Maya Rudolph and Cole Escola make a surprising fun pair. They need to host SNL together. Or someone needs to write a movie comedy for them. That chemistry is very bankable.
  6. The show is a parody and a farce. When the curtain goes up, it sort of explains itself. If you miss the explanation, all will be lost. There was almost no explanation at the Tony's. Something has happened to Marla Mindelle's singing voice. It has changed since I saw her. Perhaps, the 8 shows a week, attempting to imitate Celine Dion, is wearing her vocal cords down. She's more sharp and flat than ever. It's not easy on the ears. The actress who had the part in London seemed to be very good. Marla is one of the creators, and I'm sure she's enjoying the weekly paycheck, but maybe she needs to take vacation.
  7. @ApexNomad, I enjoyed your scathing review, and I can't say you're completely off base. However, I had fun the night I went. It reminded me of shows I saw in the 80's at Theater of the Absurd. I don't think it's meant to be taken too seriously, and that certainly was reflected at the Tony's. At least tickets aren't $600.
  8. Filmmaker Goldie Jones is offering her insider take on Heated Rivalry. For those who are interested in how the sauce is made, these video shorts are fascinating and educational.
  9. I'm very surprised this film got financed. It's a very old-fashioned, kind of slow, 2-person drama/comedy, with Bonnie Hunt and a few other actors thrown in. It's a simple premise, a grieving widow is forced to plan her husband's funeral with her estranged gay son's gay assistant. Allison Janney plays the lead, and Andrew Rannells plays the assistant. Both actors deliver. The screenplay has the feel of a stage play. I have to say, I thought the writing and direction by Jim Rash were quite good. The acting is superb, especially from Janney. The story is unusual, nothing like I've ever seen before. It has a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes. Since the story centers around a mother and her distant gay son, it might have some resonance here.
  10. I hear that. There certainly are downsides to living in an apartment building. You say yours is "well built," let's hope that is true. Unless you are at the very top, noise from a neighbor above is fraught with risk. I have learned the hard way.
  11. I've never seen Denzel Washington in a turkey. I had a strong respect for his choices. I was stunned by how bad this crime thriller is. It's from 2025, and I had never heard of it. It's directed by Spike Lee, and the cast is pretty solid, with Jeffrey Wright, Dean Winters (from Oz), John Douglas Thompson, and Wendell Pierce making a cameo. The premise of the story is ridiculous. What was Denzel thinking when he read the script? The actors are fine, but no amount of solid acting can save this mess. Apart from constantly rolling your eyes at the premise, the strangest thing about this "thriller" is the movie score. The background music stands out like a sore thumb, and it's all very, very cheesy, forcing fake emotive qualities upon the viewer. Supposedly, the movie is scored by Howard Drossin, who built the score alongside Spike Lee. Wow. The score is so bad, so annoying, it deadens the mediocre material with false emotion, dragging everything down to strident, trite, fakakta. The ending had an opportunity to create an Irene Cara/Fame moment, except Aiyana-Lee (never heard of her) was not spell-binding, and the song she wrote was not memorable. This movie would make an interesting subject in a film production class on what not to do. I believe it bombed at the box office, and it's easy to see why. If anyone watches this, I'd love to hear other opinions.
  12. It's the most unusual gay gathering I have ever experienced in my life.
  13. You mean it isn't just the prices of groceries and gas that have gone through the roof?
  14. I dear friend who is a devoted fan since the very beginning, called me this morning, still crying. I think that's what you call mourning.
  15. I got a notification today (from this board) that I'm now a veteran. Does that mean I get to celebrate one of these American holidays?
  16. Wow, what a fabulous season finale. One of the best show endings I've ever seen. Ending the show with Barbra and Judy's iconic duet sent shivers through my body. Brilliant. This show is going to be seriously missed by fans.
  17. With a nose like that, you're damned if you do, damned if you don't. I never saw Buffy, but I have friends who absolutely loved that show. Here's a fun promo from an interesting perspective: RuPaul is playing the POTUS as a drag queen. I'm pretty sure the film is meant to be silly.
  18. Thank you for that article. It's interesting how Rami talks about his fear. He seems to dance around the real issue. Playing gay more than once can have consequences in Hollywood. I often wonder if Chalamet would every do it again. I tend to doubt it. Same with Gyllenhaal.
  19. As I said above, I found bigcockdude3 to be very attractive. Both cocks are way too big for me. When I was partnered for many years, neither of us were particularly interested in penetrative sex. I felt lucky to have met my match. However, some extra-large cocks are fun to watch, especially when they can achieve a substantial hardness. In the videos I have seen, DennisXL can take a large cock with almost no effort, and he displays quite the enjoyment. He's equally exuberant when he's topping a twink. His on-camera sex seems sincere to me. I don't get the impression he is acting, like one sees with so many others in porn. Speaking of extra large cocks, this video took a bit of my breath away. https://gayforfans.com/video/vasi-stone-vasistone-fucks-lee-dawson-leedpt/ The skinny, young man is heavily endowed, and he gets very hard. The bottom takes time to adjust, and then he can't seem to get enough. There is something about this captured sex that seems very real. Again, no acting. The only thing that bothers me is the bottom's preoccupation with how his hair looks. I find beauty primping among men during hot sex to be a real turn-off. But most of the sex and passion here is captured really well.
  20. I have a friend who loved this show. I haven't seen it, but I've seen other Rami projects. Perhaps he is one note. That hadn't come to mind, yet. I still find him compelling.
  21. Sorry, I did not do a search. I'm not sure how that happens, but gayforfans and justforfans comes with endless pop-ups. Both are the most annoying user experience ever. In order to use both sites, it helps to learn how to kill or navigate the pop-ups. Many of the pop-up sites appear menacing, while asking for age verification. I ignore and delete them. As far as I know, the ads are probably chosen by bots and haven't affected my computer. The content on both sites is unlike anything I've seen elsewhere. Who knows how long they will last.
  22. Apparently, the vision was so mesmerizing it left him speechless.
  23. Interesting. I guess I could have Googled. Thanks for posting the RM link.
  24. His ad states 🌈 Out & proud panflexual. I don't know what that means, but it doesn't sound straight. He seems very enthusiastic about attracting LGBT+ customers. His training experience seems very impressive. He appears to be committed to the therapy. I like to smell the scent of a man, some call that BO, so that wouldn't bother me unless it was extremely sour and overpowering. Talking for 90 minutes would not be fun, but it's up to the customer to say something about respecting the zone. I can think of a million ways to request silence without offending someone. From his photos, the guy seems very outdoorsy active, and seriously physically fit. I see he's visiting D.C. for almost 2 months, but where is he based?
  25. I don't know the performers well, but I've seen a few videos with the guy who calls himself DennisXL. He seems to love to top and bottom, and he seems playful and ferocious. He may be German. He may live in Australia. I don't know anything about him, except he seems to love sex, and filming himself. I love his partner in this video, who goes by BigCockDude3. I wonder how they come up with some of these names. https://gayforfans.com/video/bigcockdude3-fucks-dennisxl/ Does anyone know if these guys escort?
