I tried to reach out to him a couple times, but at most got curt responses as to fee, no personality or anything. And it was quite a big fee as I recall. So I just lost interest each time.

Andre for sure. Patrick used to be as good as Andre, but Patrick's got real attitude and arrogance these days and will send you inappropriate notes afterwards if he's in a mood. Andre, however, is simply adorable.

Then again, this poster counters the negative one.... Maybe Brent is kinda back to being beautiful??..... Hmmmm......

Worst case: They mistaken me for someone else who screwed them, send me a pissed-off note, then realize their mistake, and apologize. Consider myself warned. They aren't perfect and might make a (rare) mistake. Yes, this forum is great to warn people of shady behavior, of which there's plenty out there, but this is hardly that, especially when they have a pretty stellar reputation. I felt they were getting unfairly railroaded here by some, hence my speaking up. Regardless, to each his own!

Oh c'mon. They have a long good reputation as evidenced by their many positive reviews and the non-existence of any complaints or hints of shady behavior. Someone screwed them, and they made a mistake identifying the wrong person... for which they've now apologized. Move on. I haven't even met these guys (yet), but maybe I'm untroubled by this because I've never had the pleasure of meeting guys as perfect as you all!

If you've hired them several times and trust them, shouldn't they trust you too? I'd be bummed if someone I have seen many times and been kind to, suddenly wanted a deposit; I'd actually be offended.

Assuming that it’s as wonderful a session as 90% of them are, I will at least give double the spa rate in total, if not more. 90 minutes, $200-225. When you consider the spa takes a cut, they’re still getting less than their RM equivalents. Plus if you’re generous, they remember it the next time too! If it’s just a decent massage but nothing that memorable, like at most other spas, then because their rate is so low I’ll still give $50 at least in tip. If the rate were higher, I’d probably give 20%.

Like I said, they probably mixed up their clients, as I am taking the client/commenter's explanation here at face value, but that doesn't make them scammers as some suggest they could be. But if you leave cash, odds are, if they don't see it, they'll be informing you of that before you get to the car. Unfortunately, Paypal puts the providers at risk as a bad client can reverse their payment once they're gone, and leave the provider totally screwed. They can duke it out via Paypal but obviously if details of the service aren't in concert with Paypal's terms, it gets murky and perhaps more costly. There are scamming providers out there, but usually, thanks to a site like this, word of mouth spreads quickly about their lack of character. Given Froy & Gabrielsp have been around for some time, and have almost entirely stellar feedback, I think they deserve the benefit of the doubt as far as any scamming accusation is concerned. There are bad clients too, and as I saw another provider shortly after this happened to him, I saw the hurt he felt that he was used like that, which, I suspect, felt worse than the loss of income for one session.
