Which area would be best for hotels?

Saturday 22:30 went to the Dark Eagle bar, which seems to be the only venue here.
€10 for drink + enterance to the basement cruising.

Smallish bar. 12 patrons seating, most of them locals who seemed to know each other. Almost all middle aged.

The basement consisted of a small lounge for porn, and circa 6 small dark rooms. VERY clean.

8 guys walking around. Two pairs in action. 

One relatively youngish who was being sucked blew me for a couple of moments. Then I left.

No complaints, but I won't return.

Unlike Budapest and Bratislava, Vienna seems full of gaysex venues. However, I am staying at the innerstadt; almost all of them r in the gayhood; and I m too lazy and for some reason not enough horny to bother myself going there.

There is one gay sauna close by called Kaiserbrundl. Fee is €22, quite expensive. It looks very impressive from the enterance. The non-sex focus is on special saunas, and there is no hot water jacuzzi or pool. The pool is cold, for after sauna-treatment. I passed.

Magnum sauna:
After entering I was told "payment when leaving". Fortunately so.
There were about 10 men around, looking older than me. In less than a minute I made an immediate U turn, and left. I wasn't charged the €17 entrance fee.

Sauna 69:
€13 fee. Impressive place; big; spacious; very comfortable loung; immaculately clean. Jaccuzi not hot.
3 oldies and 3 young guys walking around stone-faced, sometimes watching the porn screens. No interactions.
Left after an hour. The nice receptionist was honest: "it's better on Saturdays".

Google says it opens at 9; went there at 10; was told by the 'receptionist' that things get going only at 11. Didn't wait.

Was propositioned by 3 hot youngsters in Grindr and Romeo. One asked for "support"; insisted I set the sum. I was surprised he was ok with my trial baloon: 10,000 Florint = €26.

I met with the third, who was really hungry after a month of no sex.

I'm planning my USA trip, trying to find online clubs, saunas, cruising tips, bars, gloryholes, etc. Beyond the info here, I don't know what to make of other sources (such as cruisinggays, spartacus,...., ....), because there no dates are shown. In one of them there was a 2003 description; in another something I knew was old and incorrect. I guess this is even more of a problem in post-Covid times, after so many businesses had closed down.

Please point me to the most updated and trustworthy source.
