Watched "Zone Of Interest" on a plane yesterday. The clean, unadorned, European-style filmmaking is fantastic. My headphones aren't the best on a plane, but the movie's much-appreciated sound treatment still came hauntingly through, mostly. Very heavy subject matter, of course, but the production is just so original and smooth.

Ended up dropping in at Al's Cafe very near South Station on Essex for a sandwich. Lots of locals, office types, cops, firemen. Must be the place. Lots were ordering chicken salad sandwiches.

Not a foodie at all, but I did try what I think are the "big three" foods while I was in Montreal a few years ago, which might translate to Toronto: smoked meat sandwich (many US residents might consider it a pastrami), poutine, and bagels. All were fantastic.

Professional, to-the-point, polite, respectful communication. Don't send daily giddy texts/emails that don't advance the planning. Don't pay a deposit. When meeting, firm handshake, look him in the eyes, smile, talk slowly. Suggest a massage to break the ice after some small talk. I usually am the clockwatcher so I can make sure I get what I want before the deadline. Don't take it too seriously. Make sure he has fun, too.
