  1. Saw a preview perf yesterday. Really enjoyed it....great singing by all the leads. A bit short at 1 hour 45 mins but a tuneful night at the theatre with all her great hits intact. The out of town critics gave it mixed reviews so not expecting much better here in NYC, a tough town. The sold out audience really enjoyed it. The last 10 mins almost blew the roof off of the theatre LOL. I enjoyed it much more than Jersey Boys.

  2. That's helpful. Thanks

Very new but promising....use extreme discretion and caution when meeting strangers. A lot of crazies out there as I am sure you would gather. You can also post your own ad on Doublelist but they require an E-Mail address

  3. Thanks for posting. when I learned of CL casuals no longer I posted on this site, no one responded although someone else did and there were responded's. Ok, not feeling bad, but I had a legit question, what now?? I'm an older guy who used craigslist when I went out of town, just saying hi. Has there been any replacement that I should know about?

Doublelist.com is a fairly good replacement for Craigs

  4. This movie deals with only some of the lies about Vietnam. Inexcusable as they were, the lies told by the Americans were relatively small beer.

It was our Communist enemies who told the big lie — that war was a struggle for liberation by Vietnam’s noble comrades, who took on the Americans with pitchforks. What hooey.

The truth is that the war was a conquest of free South Vietnam by a well-armed, Soviet-backed regime in the north. At the end, the enemy emerged from the jungles with tanks and surface-to-air missiles.

The Pentagon Papers disclosed that our own leaders, in effect, refused to heed evidence that we would lose the war — and sent our troops anyway. “The Post” seems to buy into this theory. Yet it wasn’t sending troops that turned out to be the error.

Rather, it was assuming we couldn’t win. On the ground in Vietnam, our GIs did just that. In the most famous battle, Tet in 1968, our soldiers trounced the Communists. The cause of free Vietnam was betrayed in the US Congress, which had been turned by the anti-war movement.

  5. Whats the price for a massage now. It was $85 last month before tip and was mediocre

Whats the price for a massage now. It was $85 last month before tip and was mediocre

Price is still 85 I think but with tips we are talkiing 140+ and all this for a mediocre massage at best....stay away

  6. I've been something of a regular at Super Men's since late last year and have seen at least five different guys (that I can remember off hand). Have had a couple mediocre experiences, but many more that were fully satisfying.

That said: it looks like their promotions have all ended, which means massages and table showers are now full price.

When you factor in tip, that is a lot to shell out for what is a solid but not exceptional experience. The facilities are very nice and well maintained, the masseurs are ethnically diverse and almost uniformly handsome and fit. But massage quality itself is the piece that makes me skeptical about the price. To be charging that much, I would think they would have to up their technical game.

Unless they can get away with it by compensating with more and more "extras"? Who knows.

I fully agree....have had similar experiences here....NOW very costly and NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!

  7. Can you give me some more info about Greenhouse. Looking to get a nice massage from cute Asian guys. Pm if you want. Thanks

Been to Greenhouse several times and only once was I happy . Not recommended. Basic massage most of the time and I MEAN BASIC.

  8. There's a couple threads with recent activity on NYC spa's.

I was in NYC two weeks ago and went to Supermen and got a massage and wasn't that impressed. Cute guy and got a happy ending but I thought $85 plus tip was expensive since it was a shitty massage but others had good experience with a couple others. If you decide to go to Supermen I'd check that thread for recommendations on good massauers (Diego is highly recommended and I asked for him but he is off Saturdays)

I agree....Super mens spa is expensive with so so massages. There are much better ones around

  9. Went there for a massage late afternoon. I asked for Diego but he wasn't working today and they only had one massage guy free. Couldn't understand his name, his English was awful, I think he was from Norway. Blond guy.

There was a cute Asian with really bad broken English working the front desk.

Massage was mediocre at best. There was a shower in the room and I showered before and the massage started out really weird. He dropped my butt and back and was massaging through through the cloth and then put on a bunch of masssage oil, used way too much. When he had me roll over it was pretty quick he played with my nipples and asked if I wanted to cum and gave me a happy ending.

If you want a massage with a happy ending with a cute guy this is a good place. Was $85 plus tip. I handed the massage therapist the tip and it looked like he threw it in a jar under the counter so I wonder if they split tips. If you want a quality massage and don't care about happy endings I would look elsewhere

I fully agree. This place is a rip-off. Been there 3 times and only one of the massages was ok. The $ 85 fee is too high! I go to the spa at 28 th/ 6th ave where $50 will get you a great massage always with satisfaction at the end.

  10. You must have seen a different clip than I saw. That's been on Youtube for years and Streisand couldn't be more arrogant or condescending towards Merman if she tried. It's embarassing. She's a true bitch.

As for the current Hello Dolly. It's atrocious. Read Terry Teachout's review. It's spot on. Midler's voice is in tatters, she's awful. Hyde Pierce is horribly miscast.

Streisand was too young for the film, and Midler is too old for the stage.

Your comments about Hello Dolly are way off base. 99% of the reviews were outstanding. I saw it in a preview and was overwhelmed. Midler is NOT too old for the part and her singing was super ! Pierce was so good that A tony is waiting for him. The show is sold out thru August.

  11. I'm in the camp with those that feel that Streisand was miscast in the film. No need to see it, IMO. ;)

Disagree...I FEEL she was perfect in the movie and not too young. Great acting, funny as hell and great singing. What more can you ask. The rest of the cast was great too.Gene Kelly (or was it Babs) did a great job in directing.
