I don't feel bad for his death one bit.  He was a severely troubled addict who had every opportunity to muster up any sense of courage to fight back.  He was in and out of rehab half his life with all the resources available to a rich spoiled white kid and he selfishly pissed it all away.

This is Darwin at work.  If we want a better world we must allow those that refuse to better the world to get out of the way for those that do.   I'm tired of placating, enabling and grieving losers who can't find a backbone to stay away from drugs they know can destroy both their lives and those around them.

I think this is a harsh and insensitive response to anyone who struggles with addiction or mental health. Addiction is a disease that many battle with all their might, but the disease always finds it way back into their life not due to lack of effort. I’m sure addicts are well aware of the repercussions.

Hopefully some day you will find compassion instead of looking at this as something that is black and white. Every person is different and I’m sorry you look upon these people in need as “placating, enabling and grieving losers”.  How about remembering that he was someone’s brother, son, father, uncle, friend, partner, etc.  Don’t be so quick to dismiss human life.

Log into your account > Current holdings / savings bonds > select Series I Savings Bond.  You'll see the interest rate there.

If your transaction hasn't preprocessed yet, you'll surely hit a snag along one of those steps.  If it says interest rate not available, it probably means you're getting the new yet-to-be-announced rate (likely ~6.47%).

Thanks, I just looked and all it says is current value $10,000.

  3. Does anyone with a Treasury Direct account know when interest posts?  I’m curious to know if I made the cutoff for 9.62% rate. I see they got my $10,000 but I didn’t get any confirmation email except that I had successfully created an account.  I only realized that my purchase went thru by looking at my bank statement with the $10k deduction.

25 years ago or so.  I think on my last job before I became self-employed, we had one big block of time, called PTO, that could be used for vacation, sick days, or occasional mental health days.

Same for where I work. All PTO hours are in one “bank” for you to use. We also have Covid Hours in a separate  bank that I think is considered workers comp?  I believe this might be a state requirement. All employees have 80 hours that begin in. 2020, renewed again in 2021 and 2022.

Wow. THANK YOU!!! What's weird is... that LA Masseurfinder ad is pasted several times in the post you reference and yet it won't come up in a site search. I will avoid. Appreciate it.

Make sure when you search, you change from “this topic”, to “everywhere”. That will expand the search to all forums.

I take folic acid every day.  I think I  could replace it with L-methyl folate and it might work better.  I also may ask the joint doc for a script for Leucovorin..  Thanks for your advice.

What does folic acid or L-methyl folate do for your condition?

Although at this point it's not clear that even if you got the account created whether the transaction would go through in time, which is why we earlier counseled earlier folk not to wait til the last minute.  I suspect the issues will abate one the new rate, which also doesn't suck, kicks in.

Correct, when I made my $10,000 purchase last night, it clearly indicated on their home page that they were overwhelmed and doing the best they can to get thru all the transactions but couldn’t guarantee all would be processed by Oct. 28. Any that miss their processing time would get the Nov. 1 rate.

Yeah unfortunately I had to give up on it. It wouldn't let me make a new account after several days of trying. Oh well.

It kept crashing on me all day, so I created an account last night at 11:00pm. It worked.

  9. I signed up for a newsletter from the promoters of Spunk?  These events look like they wear the bare minimum? Not sure if it’s just advertising? Interested to know what to expect at their events?  And would someone in their 50’s feel comfortable at one of their events?

  10. Not the kind of dancers that you’re looking for. There are many places with go-go boys in Weho, but they have to wear a thong to not expose anything. Many will wear a thong under a jock. Now if you head to Silverlake or the valley, the dancers at those clubs are less restricted and will wear jocks for more “exposure”. I think DTLA has dancers at a spot called Jalisco Club that has a male dance group of sorts.  I found them on Twitter.

  11. Good point. Before the site crashed during my set up, I tried to use my online bank, but even setting it up as a savings account, it asked for a routing number. Isn’t that only for checking accounts? So I used my checking account…and then the site went offline.

  12. The masseurs that came into the room also seemed rushed like it was a cattle call. I will say that the whole set up didn’t feel like a place of relaxation or wellness. I remember the room lighting was pink (or were the walls pink?).  The reception area was pretty bare with no decor that emulated a spa experience. Just a table, phone and minimal desk accessories. I wonder if they had just opened and trying to get organized?  This has been driving me crazy for the past 6 years. If I had known that it was going to be a rotational introduction process, I would happily go back again. I would just feel terrible having to reject people.
