Recently visited NYC for a bit and went to a handful of different spas and tried different masseurs and wanted to share my experiences with folks. Want to note I had extras and left happy after each encounter, but quality of the experience significantly varied.

    27 Men Spa

Overall, I think this was my favorite place. It’s a very clean space that has the right ambiance. It feels the most relaxing out of the three that I’ve been to in nyc.

Max: massage was decent, and extras were nice. Didn’t ask for more tip, which made me inclined to tip him well at the end (I did 60% tip). Definitely more on the sensual side of massages, but didn’t rush into it which I appreciated. Red Bull can.

Sebastian: gave a really strong massage and incorporated good sensual elements all throughout. Favorite extra out of all the masseurs I’ve tried from nyc spas, and he was kind about it. Didn’t ask for more tips, but at the end he used a translator to say that he hoped for a generous tip (80% tip).

    Chelsea Men’s Spa

I’m quite disappointed in the service I’ve gotten here. I don’t think it’s worth the money and the massages were more like light touches than actual massages. Table shower facilities were clean, and the massage rooms were clean, but preferred 27 Men’s Spa’s facilities much more.

Kevin: Did the table shower and massage and 2 mins into the table shower he immediately started doing some sensual elements, which I prefer a build-up rather than going straight into it. Scrubbed my back and then I flipped over and he used regular soap. Asked me to stand up and proceeded with some sensual elements. Went back to the massage room and proceeded with a mild massage. He spent the last 10 mins just smacking my foot repetitively which was odd. Wasn’t a fan to be honest, also was rather aggressive about asking for tips (asked for 120% tip for extras). Not my favorite.

Daniel: better than Kevin and also had a similar flow with the table shower and massage, but had a much lighter massage. It felt like he was just floating with his fingers and also just seem so disinvested. Was a very cold experience, not a fan either.

    HUSH

Facilities were the worst compared to the other two. Dark, grungy, and you can hear the staff talking through the walls which made it difficult to fully be immersed. They also used a YouTube video with ads for the background music, which was distracting to have the masseur skip ads every time the video finished. Walls were also quite thin so I was able to hear Kpop from the next-door neighbors.

Omar: kind and polite, and was the only masseur to ask me where my problem areas were. Massage was good, and added some sensual elements towards the end. Politely asked if I was interested in extras without asking for more tips, which I appreciated.

Feel free to DM me for more details if folks are interested, happy to share, or if folks want to exchange stories too I'm happy to do so

100% tip is for absolutely exceptional level of service, not just "more than therapeutic". We all know why we go to these gay spas (and they know why we go them), if there wouldn't be an "extra service", it'd be odd.
I agree with the above poster that 40 dollars is a good tip. I only tipped 100% one time and the masseur was so taken aback that I think it doesn't happen often. But then his service has been exceptional.

Returned to HUSH after a little hiatus and had a 4-handed massage with Mark & Louis. I left extremely happy (as I always do), but y’all heffa skanks know what to do for the details.

Tried Hush's newest addition "Omar" a few days ago, and he didn't disappoint. Great conversation, great massage, great (and VERY THOROUGH) body scrub, and a great ending. I'd highly recommend him.

I went to Yeah Man Spa on Saturday hoping to get Chen, as a lot of people said their experience with him was really good, but he wasn't working that night. I instead saw Rory who was a shorter thin Chinese man with long hair. The place was empty. I wouldn't say it was dirty, but it wasn't a 5-star spa location either...
I told him that I needed my calves and feet worked on and he definitely did a decent job working on them. The massage was pretty good overall, but he ended up walking on my back (he's fairly light I guess), but I didn't enjoy that too much - not a huge fan of feet in general... He wore a mask the entire time until it was time for the extras which definitely did the job!
Feel free to DM me and ask for more details if you want

So I pretty much crossed out Grandee and New Yorker Men Spa from my list, but New Yorker’s location is really convenient for me so I called and made an appointment few days ago. Thought I’d try someone new and maybe get lucky. BIG MISTAKE!
When I entered the room, I thought it smelled like a swamp. As I took off my shoes I realized the carpet is really wet. And it really stinks! I looked up and lo and behold: flooded ceiling! I asked to be transferred to a different room but was told all rooms were flooded couple of days ago.
I excused myself and left. I badly needed a massage that night but that smell of damp rug and dirty water cant be ignored. I have low expectation from Grandee/New Yorker, but this is just insane— operating a spa under such state!

RE: the weekly schedule for 27 Men Spa / HK Men Spa posted on FB.

    1. Can anyone explain the red triangles next to the circles?
    2. Ben is listed on both 27 and HK, but with the text "The schedule with (down pointing red arrow) at HK" or "The schedule with (up pointing red arrow) at 27"
    3. Does this stuff keep anyone else up at night?

Just a heads up, the (in)famous Phillip of TSMS is leaving to China for good.

I know people’s experience with him varies but I swear he probably is one of the most knowledgeable person on chiropractic and therapeutic masseur out there.

Ben (and I think Yura) are managing the places, I think they do not give massages any longer. But you can ask Ben directly, he sometimes comes to check this forum @Benhby

I figured as much, but it doesn't explain Ben's blank line that appears on both 27 and HK without any clue of the days.

Overall not that important to figure out. I am grateful for their effort to let us know who is there.

They should just put their names on both charts and only put the days they will be there at that location on each chart. Otherwise if you’re looking at only the chart for a specific location you might not see that person listed anyways. And if you really want a specific person you would check both charts.

if there is an arrow pointing down, it means the masseur named on that line for that particular day, will be scheduled to work a HK men spa.
if there is an arrow pointing up, it means the masseur, for that particular day, will be scheduled to work a 27 men spa.
This is necessary because some masseurs mostly work in one location for that week, but will staff the other location for 1 or maybe 2 days, and so a symbol on these masseur's line + day is necessary to make sure you don't turn up at HK men spa on Wednesday expecting to see Felipe there, and hear that he is actually at 27 men spa, on the other side of Manhattan.
