  1. Have you been recently? I believe I read that they changed the shop over to totally legit massage. I agree that it was a great place. The mamasan was very proactive in finding out what you wanted and making good suggestions. The guy who ran the place was very proud of the downstairs legit massage shop so I think the upstairs naughty massage section was just a necessary thing until they got more established. But the lineup is the basic plan at most sex massage places in Thailand. Sorry to derail the thread. This place sounds like it's worth a visit next time I'm in NYC
  2. Yeah, part of it I chalk up to guys not wanting to make any commitments to doing anything before meeting. I've been chatting with a different newbie tonight. I got the "my roommate left me and the rent is due" story. Which may very well be true. He needs $800. He'd like to go on platonic dates for $250 but might be willing to do more intimate things "eventually". Maybe I am too cheap. Or my expectations aren't realistic. But I told him if he's got guys willing to pay that much he should do what's best for him. When I started with this site a few years ago it was much simpler. All of those closeted frat boys who were just looking to get off for a reasonable amount of money.
  3. They lured me back in with their black Friday discount. I thought I might be on the way to a success story. Newbie ad. Texted back and forth with this guy over the last few days. He says he's a straight college guy with a part time job. Since he's straight he would probably not be comfortable with anything physical We talked about setting up a meeting. Sent me a face pic, very handsome guy. Then started the monetary negotiations. I suggested meeting for dinner and see where things go from there. (He had said by now that he wouldn't necessarily rule out anything sexual) He said he'd do a 30 minute coffee date meeting for free, but beyond that he would have other requirements. I asked what he had in mind. Dinner up to 2 hrs - $300 Sleepover or cuddling/non-intimate contact - $500 Pictures/videos- $50-$100 each In-person nudity, but no contact - $350 I wished him the best of luck finding what he's looking for. He seems like a nice guy but these numbers are just so out there. I countered with $300 for a meeting with intimate contact. But we were clearly at an impasse.
  4. Thanks for the update. I spent many a fun long weekend at Remington's back in the day. Sounds like something to check out next time I'm up there.
  5. depends on the environment. If the place is loud otherwise it can definitely be an issue. And I find I have to repeat myself as well.
  6. that link doesn't quite work for me. Sensible to require vaccination proof. And I suppose testing makes some sense. Look at all of the athletes going to the Olympics who are vaccinated but testing positive...although I do wonder a bit about the accuracy of testing. Canada pulled ahead of the US in vaccination rate a little while ago.
  7. I saw the news today that Canada has decided to reopen the border with the US on Aug. 9. Air Canada is already planning to ramp up their transborder flights although flights from DCA aren't going to restart until Sept. 7 which is too bad. Are the strip clubs in MTL operating? 🙂
  8. I have a couple of boxes full of mags from the early 90s and some more "vintage" things that were sold in packets of 3 at adult book stores. They sit in my storage bin, probably never to be seen again.
  9. in theory I agree that with so much free porn it doesn't make a lot of sense. I think the ones who interest me are the ones that are good at social media to suck you in. An interesting personality (and being hot of course) makes people more interested because they feel like they "know" the guy and want to support him. I totally agree that some nude pics and a bunch of repetitive JO videos makes it unlikely you'll keep subs for more than the first month. And I think pricing your subscription has to be a tough decision. Too high and no one will sign up. Too low and you're leaving some money on the table. But I think a lower price will get you more people who are just curious so you get more volume. The only guy I've kept subscribed to posts frequently with other performers so it's lots of action. He's an adorable Asian American guy. His white boyfriend does the filming and gets his dick in on the action frequently. Lots of his collaborators are also twinky Asians so my guess is the rice queen BF sets most of it up. Of course there are plenty of model-hot guys who just post tease content without showing much of anything...guys like Lucas Dell. I paid for one month of nothing from him. Ultimately porn Twitter is free.
  10. I switched to Linux Mint for 99% of my use. I only use Windows for some photo editing software that I don't have a good alternative for in Linux. So my computer is dual boot. But depending on your use case ditching Windows altogether could be an option.
  11. the one silver lining of having to stay at home for the last 15 months was that I tidied up my home in a way it's never been tidied. Maintaining it has been a little difficult but it's probably time for another round of decluttering. I definitely feel better when there's less clutter around.
  12. sorry you had to go through being disabled. I guess your planning worked out well for you though. So, congrats?
  13. sorry to hijack this thread. As far as I know they never opened in the new location or if they did it didn't last long. Looks like they stayed at the old location until Sept 2018 and that's when their Twitter feed ends.
  14. The upstairs bartender was a hoot. Is Flash still going? I guess it was some sort of private club to skirt some of the rules. I never went there as it had mixed reviews and I just didn't get over there.

  16. I don't think it's been established that Gaetz's 17 year old victim was from SA. I thought she was arranged by his scumbag friend who was the Seminole County tax assessor. An article I was reading on Slate pointed out that they manage to avoid problems with the law based on the site's rules and the way the relationships evolve.

  18. SA getting a lot of attention in the press thanks to Matt Gaetz. I saw an article on some news website the other day that interviewed a few women (of course) who had used SA to meet sugar daddies.
  19. I used to stay at the Delta too. Several times I would meet one of the dancers at the hotel before his shift for some private fun. The private dance booths certainly went through some iterations. When I first started going in the mid 90s it was quite freewheeling. When it was only $10 a song it was a lot of fun in the booths. Lots of cute twinkie boys but they also had some big muscle guys too. It was amazing. Flights from DC were cheap for a while so I would go up for a long weekend every month or so. It was always great for people watching in addition to the naked dancers. I think they closed down mainly because that block of Yonge St was too valuable so the landlord sold it to be developed into more luxury condos. They were going to move down Queen to Spadina or maybe even farther out but I think in the end they just didn't bother.
  20. I think everyone else has already said it all. I used to spend a lot of time in T.O. when Remington's was in business. I met a lot of cute twinky boys there over the years. Since it closed I've only been up there a couple of times. It's such a gigantic city that it seems like it should have a lot more escorts. Maybe they just advertise somewhere other than the places I know about. Best of luck to you. Maybe if we're ever allowed to cross the border again I'll come see you.
  21. If you don't already have one, find a good financial planner who you can trust. They can help you figure all of that out. I started working with one several years ago and it's brought me a lot of peace of mind. I expect to have more money than I know what to do with when I retire. He's always encouraging me to enjoy my life more. I think I will spend quite a bit of time in retirement trying to figure out the best places to give money away
  22. My current plan is to retire at 60. But there's lots of uncertainty in the world, so who knows? But I have built a decent nest egg already and unless something major changes I will have a federal pension so retiring in 6 years or so seems quite plausible.
