He is now calling himself SevenWishes.
  2. Funny how the one cartoon set in the Stone Age has washing machines. Still, they each have one type of outfit.
  3. We published an obituary for my mom back in 2008. I don't remember the exact cost, but it was a small fortune. IIRC, after a certain number of words the cost jumped exponentially. My brother and I spent more time editing than we did writing. We did not publish one for my dad in 2011 because the cost had almost doubled by then. He was a thrifty man and would not have wanted us to spend the money. However, we posted an announcement on a page hosted by the cremation society.
  4. Here in Phoenix, we've had highs of 110 - 112 degrees for the past couple of weeks, thanks to the afore-mentioned heat dome. Our last rain was ~ 110 days ago and it is likely we won't see our first rain until August. June is typically very dry, followed by the North American Monsoon, which extends from July through September. I heard yesterday that Southern Arizona will probably have a normal monsoon season while Phoenix will experience a drier monsoon than normal. We also haven't had a haboob (dust storm) yet, but those are coming soon. While they are fascinating to watch from the comfort of one's home, they are no fun to drive in. The short-form answer, of course, is the weather has been "hotter than hell." 🌵🌵 🌵🌵
  5. His character (Zarf, who transitions to Zoe) is the first trans character on daytime television, according to the Los Angeles Times. That nuance was missing from the early reports about his death.

  7. That's good to hear. (Accepting the ACT, not bell bottoms)
  8. Nice concept. I like that they do traveling installations.
  9. Education edition, part 2: When colleges would accept the ACT instead of the SAT.
  10. I guess they are eager to show us how to use the website but when it comes to suggestions and feedback, well...
  11. Oh, uh, what I meant to say was "in the 18th century..." Yeah, that's it. 18th century. But seriously, thanks for correcting me. It has been a looooong time since I heard that story (like, 1974).
  12. Each park/park authority has their own way of approaching this. There's an Illinois state park called Starved Rock. The main attraction is the rock on which several people were trapped and starved back in the 1800's. The views are beautiful and it is a VERY popular state park. When I visited the last time, I was dismayed that all of the hiking trails were converted to boardwalks. The reason given was that the rock was eroding from the hundreds of thousands of annual visitors, so the state installed boardwalks. One of the county parks outside of Chicago had a similar problem, but did not install boardwalks because the soil wouldn't support them.
  13. Ha! My first thought was "Sanford and Son." That said, I have no info to share. Hope no one minded our little interstitial levity.
  14. I typically book for an hour, with the option to extend if we both have the time and feel up to it. More than twenty years into hiring I've never had a guy cancel because he found a client who wanted to book a longer appointment. In fact, I've ony had a handfu of guys cancel or not show. It really isn't common.
  15. Yes. I do it all the time. However, I also say it isn't a dealbreaker (for me, it isn't) and am understanding when an escort shows up wearing an outfit that is close to but not exactly the same as what I am looking for. Assume nothing. I mean NOTHING. It is OK to ask an escort's safe sex practices. If he balks, becomes offended, or refuses to answer you have every right to walk away. That said, only you can protect yourself. If you don't use PrEP and bareback, accept the risk that you could acquire HIV. Also, accept the risk that by barebacking you could acquire a different kind of STI. PrEP won't protect you from other STIs. That's a question for the provider. Most men I've hired and who are versatile would be OK with that scenario.
  16. @Starlight77, you both did the right thing. One thing to consider is the importance of respecting the generosity and goodwill of others. In this case, the escort demonstrated goodwill by doing what he felt was right. You did the right thing by respecting that. It is similar to having a meal with someone who surprises you by paying the bill and covering the tip. If you insist on leaving the tip, despite your host refusing, you are showing disrespect for his generosity.
  17. @azdr0710, sweetie, you need to learn how to count! But seriously, for the most part folks are welcoming and polite. You'll find some folks can be mean, but when that happens the best thing to do is ignore them. It takes two to continue an argument.
  18. He was last online today (7/7) so there's a good chance he will be renewing.
  19. The use of "they/them/their" in professional writing is nothing new. In the late 1980's, my employer (a large bank) used they/them/their because using male pronouns was sexist and using he/she, she/he, or (s)he was awkward. They also used gender-neutral names in training materials and advertising. This wasn't political correctness; it was a deliberate business move. We were inclusive when competitors weren't, and we benefitted from it by attracting customers. This was also not a Millennial or GenZ-driven phenomenon. (Many weren't even born yet). Our senior leaders at the time were in their 40s, 50's, and 60's.
  20. There is a "Report a Bug" function within the "Navigation' menu group. To get there, do the following: Navigate to "rent.men" and locate the hamburger menu ( ) in the upper-right corner of the page and click it Locate "About" (Last choice on right side of menu) and click it Locate "Report a bug" (Fourth item on the list) and click it Describe the bug. They have addressed a couple of defects I have reported (presumably I'm not the only one) including the issue with pictures being displayed too large to be seen on-screen and profiles showing up as not found on the mobile site but displayed on the website. They do not seem to have addressed the issue of anyone who logged in more than a few days prior is displayed as logging in "a week ago." In one case, it displayed that for a provider who hasn't logged in since 2015.
  21. No one, client or escort, should assume anything. Unless your profile says "I can't host" it is perfectly reasonable for a client to ask if you can host. It is also perfectly reasonable for you to say "sorry, I can't host" and leave it at that. My approach is to articulate what I like to do, the area in which I am staying (Hilton Union Square, Hilton Financial District, etc) or live (Downtown Phoenix) and whether I can host. Case in point. I recently traveled to Santa Cruz, CA for a wedding and I wanted to hook up with an escort. I told him I could travel to him in San Francisco or host in Santa Cruz. He very politely stated he could not host and did not have a way to travel to Santa Cruz.So we didn't meet. No harm, no foul, no drama.
  22. I wouldn't think ill of him if he politely declined and offered a reason why. However, there is no reason to get hostile. You made a statement of fact. This is easy for me to say because I did not receive his hostility, but he did you a favor in the end.

You might want to check out a site called The Best Flex. Most of the guys do videos and Skype shows, but some say they are available for meetings. You can filter by country/state. There are a few guys here in the US.
  24. I've used Wilexa since it first came onto the market and it is every bit as effective as Advair. Ask your doctor to allow a generic substitution when they write your next script.
  25. I wish Madonna a speedy recovery. Bacterial infections are not to be fooled around with. Haven't cared for her since the Material Girl days, but I don't wish her ill will.
