Interesting--haven't heard this, but suspect it may have grown out of opportunistic guys looking for johns who were frustrated by not hooking up in the nearby Ramble. That's an affluent neighborhood--will be surprised if this is tolerated for long. All it will take is a couple of well-heeled, well-connected neighbors on late evening walks with their dogs who see something they don't want to and . . . .

Whether that's who's at the door when it opens is an open question. Use of a fashion shoot photo doesn't necessarily mean he's not real. There are a lot of theses guys who get one good photo shoot and then their modeling career doesn't take off. They look for other ways to market their beauty, and rentmen is one. Have seen plenty of authentic rentmen ads that include pics from the guy's one fashion shoot.
